  • Who needs an auto tuner? Not this guy!!!! Ripping that shit up!!!!!!!!

  • @85Funkadelic Hell yea my friend, Rik is kick ass. Lucky enough to see them in Shreveport, Louisiana in 83. You think the vid is kick ass???.you should hear them live!!!!...if you didnt I mean. But you are definitely right, he IS ripping. God speed my friend.

  • 240p.. we meet again..

  • 1979 .....t(^_^t)

  • 3:53 to 4:04 Nuff Said.

  • It's amazing how bands like Triumph relate to current events and our lives

For me I am so sick of the same old political bull crap

Let's Lay It On Washington and say WE ARE PISSED OFF AND WERE NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE.

    Daily Paul . com

  • What a bad ass jam.

  • rik emmit looks and sounds like joe walsh....awsome tune

  • I WAS THERE..

  • Rik Emmitt was cocky and arrogant,BUT he had a RIGHT to be! He was BAD ASS!

  • @delimac59 HAted the guy but he sure can play and he knows it too.

  • so friggin good, i love it!

  • Thank you, Leisure...I'm glad you took the time!

  • US Festival 83' Look it up here for any Triumph fans! Even better than this. Rik was amazing!

  • That was a great tour!

  • Triumph was a fun concert! pretty sure i saw them at the fab Forum.

  • Great song. They don't make music like this anymore. In fact, they don't make any music anymore. Just a bunch of crap. We need bands like this. Music full of energy, meaning, and oh, awesome guitar solos :)

  • I saw triumph and they were just awesome !!!!!! :)

  • I saw "Triumph" around 1980. "Foreigner" opened, and they turned in a lackluster performance. "Triumph" on the other hand, had the place a rockin' within a couple of songs. Not comparing, just saying that on that night they turned an average show into a great concert.

  • @dulcimerz2drumstix Thats the way it goes a lot of times, I saw Aerosmith ,Foreigner, Frank Marino & MR,AC/DC,& Walter Egan (Magnet & Steel) in 1978, Guess what ,Foreigner with out the help of the studio was pretty bland,Half the place walked out on Aerosmith ( played at 78 speed & unintelligible)

FM&MH & AC/DC were the show, but not the top of the bill that day/night.

  • Thanks so much,,,,Any chance you have the entire version of Hold On? The abbreviate version deletes the best part of the song

    Thanks

  • blame it on grunge

  • LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got anymore?!!

  • LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • superb!! outstanding video, boy this is one of my all time fav's. hope it stays on:)

  • Wow, this brings back some memories. Had a huge crush on the lead singer. What is he doing these days?

  • What ever happened to vocals like that--you just don;t hear bands with singes who have that kinda range, power and control anymore

  • @mongo20166 I agree! Rik and Gil are two of my absolute favorite rock vocalists.

  • @mongo20166 not to mention while playing such awesome guitar leads at the same time. Many times I have heard people compare Rik Emmett to Eddie Van Halen and they are disappointed when I say that Rik is better. The reason? Did you ever heard Eddie sing while he shredded his strings? No, Never. And when the eighties came around, you didn't see Rik Emmett trade in his guitar for a synthesizer. No offense to Eddie, but Rik can teach him a lesson.

  • I N T E N S E

  • RIK IS SMOKIN' HOT........

  • DANG...WISH IT WAS NOW...MISS THOSE DAYS.......THEY KNEW HOW TO DO IT RIGHT 4 SURE

  • kick ass song ,and remember girls the truth will just do fine.

  • OHH YEAH.......YEP...THAT'S HOW REAL MEN SING....SEEN THEM IN CONCERT IN INDY THAT YEAR....NOT SURE WHO THEY OPENED FOR...

  • Excellent!

  • THE DEFINITION OF PERFECTION!!TRIUMPH RULES!!!

  • Don't hold me up girl.... don't waste my precious time!!!!

  • Excellent...THX!!

  • This is real Canadian Rock at its best.... Brings back the memories.

  • I can me and my friends getting high and listening to this album ! This takes me back to hanging out under the carport , no worries !!!

  • Fabulous!!! What memories this brings back...thank you!

  • lay it on the line!! don't waste my time!! LOVE IT

  • thanks!!! greatest song ever... Triumph very underrated

  • See, Canada's not so bad after all, eh?

  • @RAV52

Canada's had some great musical acts, really funny comedians, the best hockey players, and outstanding beer.

  • @bertmustin I was born & lived just outside of Buffalo 64 -77 Our family vaca's as kids were mainly spent in, yes,Canada. Traveled over the Grand Island & Peace bridge many a time,I loved Molson,Labatts,Genesee

although Gennies weren't Canadian. We had the French Connection, watched CBC, is the hatred for Americans any better these days ?

  • @tjfreak Just the idiots who lack an identity. The rest of us just love beer and good music and good neighbours

  • @bertmustin you forgot, some of THE hottest women.

  • @RAV52 Better than the states

  • @hockeyguy1414 Umm, NO. There is no Las Vegas or Miami in Canada.

  • @RAV52 ROFL Miami is a shit hole and Vegas is the home of thousands of disease infested ugly bitches... yeah that sounds really awesome...

  • @hockeyguy1414 Speaking of disease infested ugly bitches... How's Pamela Anderson doing these days?

  • @RAV52 LOL that's funny I'm a Canadian but think Pam is much better looking without all that gunk on her face I liked her best when she was Labatt's Blue poster girl back in the day Cheers!

  • @RAV52 rofl thats the best you could come up with? Pam is hot and you know it... If you really wanna talk about disease infested ugly bitches, lets talk about the cast of jersey shore

  • Not trying to start another one of those silly back-and-forth arguments about new school music vs. old school music, so please, let's not even go there; however...I would pay TOP dollar, to see ANY of today's artists try to follow these guys on stage--just to get tenfold my money's worth from the assured comedic outcome.

  • @blackdiamond8 I guess I could see bands like Tool, Avenged sevenfold, Bullet for my valentine, holdin their own,not to start anything or anything & I'm only naming a few & leaving a lot off, I'm 47 & been there, there is some decent shit these days, there was a lot of shit in those days also, Triumph was an exception ,one of the Premium bands of that period.

  • @tjfreak Tool is hardly a band of 'today', my fellow 'youtuber' and I have seen them live as well as Triumph (both some moons ago); as for the other two bands you mentioned, I know very little about them, but for them to follow Rik Emmett and Triumph on stage, (which means live, of course)--they better have their balls wired tight for that performance, friend. Peace.

  • @blackdiamond8 hahaha that's fuckin funny bro

  • Great Rock band from the 70's . Awesome song....

  • Bravo! Excellent video, because normally you don't hear the last crazy high note he hits. Thanks for that!

  • BIG PROPS my friend!

  • THANKS!!! YOU ROCK!

  • This is a bad, mother fucking jam!
