I must say, I think the Trailer would have been better if the beginning of it started with Titanosaurus footage and then went on to the MechaGodzilla Reconstruction part.
@Toxiejunkie Yeah, this is the same MG as the one in Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla (1974), this movie was a direct sequel to that, and the last installment in the Showa series (1954-1975). Then there was another MG in the Heisei series (1984-1995), in Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla (1993), which has the same title as the '74 film but is completely unrelated. And then there was a new incarnation in the Millennium series (1999-2004), in the movies Godzilla X MechaGodzilla (2002) and Tokyo S.O.S. (2003).
Holy socks! This was the first Godzilla's movie which I saw! I saw this film at the cinema.... when I was a little child! After, I saw all the others. Godzilla is a myth, he is the only one !
Yes this was the best movie and the prequel before it: GODZILLA VS. MECHAGODZILLA. I still have a betamax tape of it from a laserdisk (i'll convert it to DVD when time and money allows it) :-(
this is still my favourite of all these films. They don't get shown on the TV any more for some reason, used to be on Saturday mornings in the late 70's
I think the reason I like the previous movie more than this one is that I always feel so bad for Titanosaurus. Also, MechaGodzilla without a head just doesn't work for me, though it does say that the aliens learned their lesson from before.
It's awesome! A bad movie, but the trailers good. When I say bad i'm talking about Titano. Cool monster in Godzilla Unleashed, but Not this movie. He body slammed planes out of mid air, and was ankle-deep in 750 feet of water..... and actually jumped out and body slammed a submarine.....weird shit......... oh well 5/5 and fav!
Wow! How did you get MechaGodzilla as your your Youtube name? You must have been here since Youtube started! Either that or no one has ever thought of it before you.
But anyway, I loved this movie. It is my second favorite Godzilla movie.
Well, I've been a member since April 5th 2006, so indeed, I've been here a while, and I suppose no one before me considered it. I don't complain though, it's nice being named after my favorite Godzilla villain. ;)
Oh man, I loved Godzilla films.. (except that crappy American re-make, with Sarah Jessica Parker) ONLY movie I ever walked out on early, due to how boring it was
I know, I'm all over it like white on rice! ;) This is, hands down, one of my all time favorite G-films. An absolute classic.
The best part about Classic Media's new U.S. re-release, is that they are releasing the original uncut, unedited version with the original Japanese audio. A far cry from the horrid cheesed up, heavily edited abomination U.S. audiences were forced to be content with for a rediculously long time.
Song that starts at 1:59? Does anybody know?

i own this and it's not as epic as it looks. It's actually rather weak compared to some of the earlier films, even if it is the old japanese version.

MechaGodzilla: I'm back!
Godzilla: How many Terminator Godzilla's are there??!?!?
Titanosaurus: 7,I think.
Godzilla : Holy Crap! Another incested son!!!

Yeah, it's quite underrated. Maybe it has something to do with the bastardized edited/dubbed versions.
