  • how do we know when to use ji qian and when to use zuo you?

  • @girlymoomoo888

Hello, my friend, ji qian means a few thousand ranged from one thousand to nine thousand. zuoyou means about or around. For example, yi qian zuo you means around one thousand( maybe a bit less than 1000 or a bit more than 1000). So than ji... and ...zuoyou in fact express different approximates.

    Good luck.!

  • 非常感谢,Lucky!

  • I see. I've seen 'ji' translated as several before. so ji qian could be several thousand.

and zuo you means - right left. which is similar to the english expression more or less.

    Thanks for your lessons.

Hello, friend, you are right. zuo you ---right left, and shang xia----up down, which are very similar to the English expression more or less.
