You have to provide proof of car insurance so you should have to provide proof of health insurance. If you don't your employer should be required to buy it for you at your expense.

She paid $97,000 for surgery at trhe MAyo Clinic in exactly the same time it would take her to have surgery in Canada, except in Canada she would have no out of pocket medical expense.
99% of Canadians, myself included, would not give up our health care for any other countries system. It's not perfect, but no matter who you are, when you get sick, or get in an accident, you receive top quality health care and it doesn't put you in the poor house.
