It's not "Red" 红(Hung) but "Flood" 洪(Hung) Kuen.
As far as i know some Hung Gar and Wing Chun Masters spent quite some Time on board the Red Junks, maybe they learned from each other. On the other hand, there is Ha Say Fu Hung Gar which uses the Yee Chi Kim Yeung Ma extensively, might be that it is one of the Roots of Wing Chun, who knows? I don't!
