@HalloweenInc Well, I'm assuming it's because English speakers love the feel of the song itself and how the language feels with the song. Germans have heard this all their life, so what doesn't get to the English gets to them, such as how some of the singing is less than stellar and the translation is sometimes worse than YouTube's transcribe audio feature. (I mean, just look at how they say English names which the never bothered to translate!)

that came pretty close to the original in my opinion.

I guess usually it's not the actors that do a bad job,

but it simply can't be translated all that well.

...except for the complete lack of any kind of accent.

It may be true every nationality judges accents differently,

but that's no reason to remove em entirely.

Characters like Photo Finish and Applejack are just lacking in german, sadly.

I would say it is better if they remove the accent.

They can't reproduce the accent in an other language, and just replacing it with an accent that we have in Germany would sound horrendous. The Fandub of MLP tried an american accent, but that didn't worked well ether in my opinion, especially for the kids is it hard to listen too.

But they did at least tried to give her a hint of an accent, with the choice words and how she speaks, but it really is almost nonexistent.

@Dionysus24779 as in the original, her speaking voice is a different actor than the singing ;) but yeah, a lot of the voices sound too old...
