Mushroomhead was formed in 1993 and Slipknot in 1995 Roadrunner Records had interest in signing Mushroomhead before Slipknot but they passed on the deal. Mushroomhead started appearing with ridiculous mask first and when they saw Slipknot doing the same they decided to steal Slipknots jumpsuits and go with the Black XX mask. Either way they have both buried their differences, and its not like you could fault every other band that has a gimmick and say they copied KISS

Slipknot fan in peace :) I have to say that after listening to slipknot for a number of years, i've recently started to listent o mushroomhead and i really like them too :) I don't understand the rivalvry or hate between the fans of both, i understand it's something to do with slipknot coyping mushroomhead, but i don't want to get involved. Just wanted to say i think they're both really good, and they've both got great music :) DOn't argue over it, just enjoy it :)
