  • @1:05 : epic!!!

  • Gerry died one year ago today as of my posting. This cover sucks and so Gerry thought. This is a song about his experiences with being a street musician. Covers of someone elses bio's are like rewriting their life and claiming it as yours. Too bad he obviously didn't have the control to stop covers of the song he is most known for. Even though he had other hits, this one seems to be the one most played while others get no airplay again.

  • I remember his songs as they were released and I ask stations why they can't play them anymore. It seems as though you can only play top 10 hits on classic rock stations. Gerry had some great follow up songs but when he wouldn't tour America, his popularity wound down and the songs wouldn't track well. Buy any of the numerous greatest or best of compilations and you'll hear what I'm talking about. R.I.P Gerry

  • i love this play

  • good cover

  • Gerry Rafferty is spinning in his grave right now knowing his song has been completely ruined by this disco crap....

  • @HOMERDABULLDOG1 don't blame them. There thousands who heard this track as a child and like me haven't know about Rafferty until found him on youtube. And after listening to the original one I prefer this version. It's only generations question. For eg I love music of Queen and it was shocking when my niece said to me gladly that how fantastic is that new 5ive track We will rock you.

  • @emmesessantotto When I showed her the original one she just said thats not the same, 5ive is better. But I understand her, she's accustomed to the new and since didn't met the original one ever before it's o.k. that she prefers the new one.

  • It's a special saxophone where you don't have to move your fingers

  • mein lied <3 dedicated to my schatzi <3<3<3

  • this speedy version is annoying

  • ich steh einfach voll auf den sänger... den will ich bitte einmal mitnehmen, is jetz MEINER <3

  • the guy on sax is my 2nd cousin and now writes songs for leona lewis westlife just to name a couple go stevie mac

  • whats is the name of this beauty woman? @_@ ♥

  • i prefer gerry rafferty version

  • @MsFanmail hahaha... never :]]

  • What genre is this song?

  • @martinkunev pop 90's

  • nowhere near the original

  • Not feeling the Ace of Base beats. It's good in it's own right, but Gerry did it best, RIP

  • reminds me boulevard in leeds 1992 black and white days:)

  • I love this song since i've been 17 in 1992. And I love the Girl in this video. I wanna know who she is.

  • ME FACINA ES UN SUPER CLASICO CREO QUE TODOS VIBRAMOS POR MUCHO TIEMPO CON ELLA DEFINITIVAMENTE MARCO UNA MUY BUENA EPOCA Y QUE EPOCA!

  • um CLÁSSICO xD

  • IT REMINDS ME OF 1992, HA, HA.

  • @brakjart NO its not the original. The orihinal its from Gerry Rafferty

  • @wggarzon thought so... this is isnt the one that ive heard in the radio xD

  • I never knew Hugh Dennis could sing.

  • RIP

  • I loved this version ... more than original, dare I say.

  • With the recent death of Gerry Rafferty it bears noting the lyrics of Baker Street are about the alienation of a man in a city. It most definitely is not about the relationship tension between a young man and a young woman, as depicted in the Undercover video.

  • Dreadful

  • Love this cover!! Love the song :o) What happend to Undercover?

  • Without the sax, why bother? Hopefully the late, great Gerry Rafferty made tons of money off residuals.

  • Classic!!! Makes me sooo sad.... RIP Gerry Rafferty.... and Undercover is the only bad who covered this song and did it justice!!!

  • @KyleCorreiaDeAraujo

Sorry...but the foo fighters version is far superior to this...

  • @KyleCorreiaDeAraujo

    > "is the only bad who covered..."

    a Freudian slip?

  • Not as great as the original, but far, far superior to the Michael Mind tripe. At least this one gives the impression that Undercover knew what the song was about!

  • R.I.P.

  • @backtothe90s

    ??????

  • RIP Gerry Rafferty

  • by far brilliant version by Undercover

    Good one.

  • This Is How A Cover/Remix Is Done. Not Over The Top, and Just Right! IMO!

  • UFF TANTO RECUERDO CON ESA CANCION

  • the saxophone rhydom makes me feel sexy!

  • reminds me my childhood in 1992 i was 7

  • padre gato

  • Me lembra Hermes & Renato! xD

  • @vonarerikson kkk tambeim

  • I think this version is even better than Jerry Rafferty's , and the swing is just unforgettable....

  • To say this is "better than Rafferty's" is the absolute dumbest thing I have every seen on youtube. Its ok at best. A generic beat out of a box added to a monotone vocal does not make for a GREAT song. Its only because it sorta reminds me of the original that I could even suffer through it long enough to write this response. Art is dead.

  • I think it' s great song and everyone have to think what they like. No one like same music.

  • I agree, additionally - it`s a bad beat, typical of early 90-ies (boom-boom), and this stupid drum sounds survives until now. 80-ies were much better and drum machine sound was much more "natural" then (anyway, raffery made song before 80-ies, I know).

  • Me + Amy+Brandy=happydays!!!!!!

  • muuuuitobom.

  • who's the girl?

  • esta si que es musica

  • Comment removed

  • Are you thinking of Mezzoforte - Garden Party?

  • No it's not that. because i have just found it it's called Going Home by Dire straits and its off a movie called Local hero from the 80's thanks anyway though.

  • @jaxx831 is it the dave Arnold one?

  • You mean "Lily was here" from Dave Steward and Candy Dulfer. You're welcome.

  • @lawson010 isn't it blade runner?
