Reba and Kelly seemed to be having a ball on the 2W2V tour and who knew Kelly still had such great pipes, hard to tell with the songs she usually sings. She was wonderful on Rebas ballads. I'm so glad she passed on Just When I Thought I'd Stopped Loving You, can't imagine what that would sound like at full scream. Just heard I Do Not Hookup on the radio for the first time and what a waste of a beautiful voice.
I don't think i'd call it a waste of a beautiful voice, it just shows that Kelly can do many different styles with her voice. She loves those more upbeat songs because they are fun to sing on tour and obviously her label thinks that is what sells best. But Kelly is def not letting her amazing voice to go waste. She has some brillant ballads on her new cd like "Cry" and "If No One Will Listen" that can still take your breath away. But I get what you are saying, and I agree with you to an extent.
She's my favorite too.
