It's not a common disease because few people drink enough colloidal silver to contract the condition but the danger is real. He's far from the only one.

Do a search on Argyria if you don't believe me. Stan Jones is another famous case of Argyria, if you really need names.

Also, no, it's not "safe with distilled water." Argyria is caused by consuming too much silver compound. Distilling the water does not decrease the change by any meaningful measure.

First of all, no, it's not limited to silver nitrate. It's silver. Silver ion, pure silver, silver compound. Any form of silver. A simple Google search for argyria could have taught you as much.

Secondly, distilled water means that you have to evaporate the water and collect the steam in another container. Thus, the water has to boil and THAT is at 100°C, not at 30-40. If you thought distilled water was water heated at 30-40°C, you were doing it wrong.

If Blue Man really used salt (doesn't say so in the video, but whatever) AND if the nitrate in water would have been to dissolve the colloidal silver into Ag+ (the concentration of nitrate is so low that is highly unlikely), then the silver would have formed silver chloride (AgCl) which is not a soluble compound. It would have fell straight at the bottom of the container.

This skin problem is caused by large silver particles being trapped under the skin. With properly made colloidal silver this simply doesn't happen.

The water gets more and more connective and the current between the rods gets to big and larger chunks of silver dissolve into the water. When this happens it looks like the water turns yellow. Produced right it looks like it's a lot of air in the water, a light silvergrey mist. Use less power. One 9v battery should do.
