  • You have a great smile.

  • Honey you are gorgeous. Plain simple.

  • i honestly think people with albinism look lovely

  • does your hair feel rough? and can you die it like any colour you want?! ;o

  • @fleurisgod Why would my hair feel rough?

Some colors work better than others for people with albinism, but because of issues with the lack of pigment, many colors don't take.

  • I'd love to photograph you!!! :D

  • Yeah, I completely understand and associate with many of the things you said in this here.

  • part 2... I know it sounds narrow saying turbins are for only cancer folks, but really don't want people to get off on a tangent about my turbin style, so I wear a cap. I'll get my hair back at some point (I guess). I'm just lucky to be alive and thankful. The ball cap helps keep the light out of my eyes at work anyway. You helped inspire a paper I did at school. I just ran across your video. I think I tried to write you a private message. Don't know if you ever got it. Have enjoyed your videos

  • Hey Fleur, You made some great points here. I get what you mean about re-doing the focus. Like I have a friend w/Cancer and she bluntly told me she gets tired of every conversation being about her cancer. She'd just like to talk about regular stuff once in awhile. So I get it too, because I got really sick this summer and the meds tripped the no hair growth for awhile. My boss suggested I wear a turbin. I was "Nope!" I'll wear a hat. Turbins are for cancer folks. I know that sounds narrow, pt 1.

  • I think you look beautiful luvie. Its the things that make you different that at the same time make you special :)

    xoxoKira

  • I have very light skin, light hair, and blue eyes, and I have always felt uncomfortable and offended if anyone referred to me as being an albino. The way people say it implies that a person is ugly if they have albino characteristics. People have told me that I "need a tan". I am still scarred by comments about my skin color and hair color (tow head) when I was a child. Anyway...you are beautiful and I am glad to see that you are comfortable in your own skin. :)

  • I think that you're one of the most beautiful women that I've ever seen. If I ran in your circles I would ask you out. I love your eyes in particular.

  • How the fuck did i get here?...only you youtube...only you.

  • Yeah people can be cruel sometimes, and peers in school are sometimes the worst. I'm really really pale but I have black hair. In grade school I would stay out of the sun because it hurt my skin, and all of the kids thought I was a vampire or an evil witch =\

  • @otherwheregirl

By the way I was wondering what sunblock you use. Your skin is flawless! I always get burns and red splotches even with sunblock when I'm in the shade.

  • Me myself and irene is a great movie.

  • don't color your hair! you are beautiful!

  • I agree with Panic. I'm a lesbian.....and I think you're sexy as all get out!!!!!!

  • Lol, WTH. You're 'technically legally blind' but you're getting a license? How does that work??

  • @geragna There are special glasses with a telescope on the lens to see signs and things far away.

  • @fleurdelacour5787

i don't think its a good idea to get a driver's license because you need good vision to make rapid decisions that involve lives - either yours or someone else's.

  • @orangedac True, but I have the vision needed to see pedestrians, vehicles, etc. It's perfectly safe with the bioptic. And clearly many states/countries agree. I wouldn't purposely put anyone's life at risk. If I felt it was unsafe in any way, I wouldn't be doing it.

  • @fleurdelacour5787

All it takes is one over-sight to run a small kid down in a parking lot and kill him.

Once its done, the hands of time cannot be turned back.

  • @geragna - legally blind just means without glasses or contacts you cannot see well enough to drive. People legally blind can see 20/20 vision with glasses on.

  • @crazywaffleking Ahhh, I didn't know that. Thanks for the info :)

  • @geragna getting licenses isnt for anyones safety.. licenses are just an agreement you make to abide by road rules, and accept any punishments for breaking their rules.. its all about fines and control over you, nothing at all to do with anyones safety.. theyll probably just make a requirment for her to wear glasses or something, similar to requiring an old friend of mine that was legally deaf, to wear his hearing aides

  • @geragna sorry, i hadnt read her response to you when i wrote that.. oh well

  • "That wasn't really that bad... it was just a horrible movie" lmfao you're hilarious. Thanks for informing people. I think you look really cool, and you're beautiful

  • hello white woman

  • i would date you in a heartbeat.

  • okay it looks even worse on white people. im sorry, i have to be honest. im not gonna be like all these commentors on all these videos sugar coating everything. what i dont get is maybe you can pass for just a really pale normal white person. why does all albinos hair have to be so light that is the first thing we notice, i know i do. so cant you darken it a bit and than you would basically look normal and you dont have the eye twich so there ya go. off to a good start.

  • Ur Pretty!! ♥♥

  • I THINK YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! UNIQUE

  • Hello! I'm browsing about Youtube for albino vlogs like yours. It helps me with my own RP character who is also albino. :) I have a lot of people ask me why he has blue-grey eyes instead of red and so forth, so I end up explaining through research to help them and myself better understand. So, thank you so much for posting and I hope you've been doing well. [[As for my RP character, he's a young doctor in the 18th century, and quite brilliant among his colleagues. ;) ]]

  • so have you had problems getting guys? just wondering how many vain men there have been out there freaked out by your looks, instead of seeing what a wonderful peaceful person you are...

  • @ibkristykat I don't have any real problems attracting men which is unfortunate since I'm a lesbian. I feel like it does drive a lot of women away, though.

  • @fleurdelacour5787 I'd seen your vid on LGB in the Pagan community *after* this one... hehe... sorry - my bad. Wrote before I knew...

Sorry to hear you seem to have that type of problem, seeing as usually women know better to care about the inside rather than the outside. :( Aw well. Life huh? Take care!

  • @fleurdelacour5787 I'm a lesbian. I don't see why women is "driven away" from you. I think you're very beautiful :)

  • @Panic261191

    I totally agree ^___^

  • @fleurdelacour5787 I am a lesbian and i think you are beautiful!

  • You are so pretty :)

    Love your smile..

  • You are beautiful! :) Thank you so much for sharing! :)

    Blessed be! )O(

  • Well i think you are beautiful, people dye their hair your color but you have it natural i think thats beautiful. Actually a lot of people are probably jelous of people with hair like you, i wish my hair was that light. :)

  • You seem like a really level headed chick!

  • You are beautiful!

  • You are so beautiful

  • those people are really stupid, you look amazing, everyone is amazing in their way.

  • It's messed up that people had made fun of you. You are gorgeous, you have a lovely voice, and you obviously have a lot of intelligence.

  • so, i think that your so pretty and i love the light skin and hair thing. I think it gives you this whole unique look that makes you prettier then most. so i am jealous and i just thought you should know that some of us don't think albinism is a bad thing at all.

  • hello u'r voice is so relaxing :) i like it

  • Also, just out of curiosity, have you ever tried dying your hair? Does it accept color or no? I hope that is not a ignorant or insensitive question! :D

  • @mkt75002 We did a few tests and it never turned the color it was supposed to. Red made it sort of lilac, strawberry blonde was kind of pink, and so on. I didn't want to look like a beauty school drop-out, so I eventually gave up and came to love my hair color.

And thanks for reading my LC blog!

  • @fleurdelacour5787 I LOVE your beautiful white hair!!

  • I think most people don't understand, and that is why they make jokes and are mean. I had a disease that caused me to look different. I had treatment to cure the disease and facial surgery to "correct" my appearance. I got made fun of a lot as a kid. It has made me a stronger person, yes, but I still wish I hadn't gone through it. You blogging about your albinism is very inspirational to me because I was never brave enough to talk about what ade me different. Reading your LC11 blog, btw!

  • Beautiful :)

  • Don't you feel embarrassed talking about this? I know the experience because I live through it everyday.

  • @1AppleMaker Not really. It's just a part of my life just like the other things I share in this vlog. It's not any more embarrassing than discussion menstruation or breaking down and crying on camera about other insecurities. In fact, I think this is less embarrassing. Lol! But it is important to share, so I do it.

  • I think albinism is beautiful

  • hey fleur - nice job on the explanation, it's a tricky one for most people so this hsould help. Really well done

  • wait wait wait so are your kids blonde, or do they switch back to your parents genetics. I dont understand can you mate with some latin guy and make red hair, whats going on?!

  • @hurryupche I don't have kids, but if I did they'd have albinism ONLY IF their father carried the same type of albinism (there are several) otherwise they'd have his coloring or similar to that of my parents (dark brown hair and tan skin). He'd have to carry my type of albinism because it's a recessive gene. If he didn't, they'd just be carriers of albinism but not show it at all physically.

  • @hurryupche There are really complicated ways that genetics wrk. If she had a child with a man who was latino and he carried the reccessive albino gene that she exibits (carries both alleles for) the children could very well be albino. there is a 50% chance they would be albino, and 50% chance they would have tan skin and dark hair. The children could possibly have red hair if he had the trait for it as a recessive gene or the genes had a genetic mutation.. it would be a rare chance though.

  • Hey there. I just found you by accident. I have albinism too. I honestly enjoy it for the most part.

People can definitely be weird about it sometimes, but you just have to overlook them.

Also, it's so cool that you and your sister both have it. It must've been helpful to have each other to talk to.

What all games do you play? I played WoW a while back and it was fun to play and to RP, but I never played a character with albinism. That's a thought. =)

  • do you ever wear makeup, not to cover you skin color but like blush and mascara and eyeliner/ eyeshadow? just wondering

  • @peacegirllover I wear blush, but it doesn't cover my skin color, not that I'd want to. I can't wear mascara or eyeliner because I have depth perception issues and end up poking myself in the eye several times. So, I need help applying those, hence not wearing them often. I do wear eyeshadow a lot.

  • @fleurdelacour5787 come marry me pls?

  • In my opinion, albinism brings out an exotic beauty particularly in women, which I would certainly date!

  • i think albinism is sexy

  • i think albinism is so beautiful. You are lucky to be unique! It sucks looking like everyone else =P

  • Wow your hair is really light

I'm albino too but my hairs more of a dark yellow

and on the bottom is dirty blonde!

    Your very pretty :)

  • @JasmineBonilla1 Thanks.

My sister's hair is whiter than mine, but my skin is lighter than hers. A doctor once explained that there's never an absolute lack of pigment. I guess that's why it varies so much even among people with the same type of albinism.

  • you are absolutely gorgeous:) The kind you have is called "oculocataneous". Its hard to say, though. Some albinos are even models!

  • you`re so white :) so beautiful...i would date you.

    greetz from germany

by the way: the way you talk is awesome :)

  • Aw, thanks!

  • I'm think it's easier sometimes to be totally blind in certain situations like I am because people just accept that you can't see something and it's easier for them to understand. I think its harder for people to wrap their minds around what people with low vision can and can't see.

  • That's so true! They either don't say anything, thinking I'll be offended and just watch me trip over an unmarked curb or something OR they feel the need to point out everything like "Hey, Kat, there's an elephant right there! Don't run into it!"

  • can you have albinoism and see well. like not have it in the eyes just the skin and hair xx cool vid tho

  • Um...I don't claim to be an expert, but I've never heard of a type of albinism like that.

  • We are beautiful! Albinism rocks!!! I love the skin I'm in ;-P

  • Well said! So many people aren't educated when it comes to albinism. Some people don't know I have it, only because I don't have red eyes. I hate stereotyping :-/

Congrats on working on your license! I too am a low vision driver, but I still just have my learners permit.

  • Thanks. Ugh! I hate it when people try to tell me that I can't have albinism because I don't have red eyes! I'm sorry. My doctors and VI teachers must have been mistaken all these years and it's taken a waitress at Bob Evans to point out the truth! Lol!
