finally i found someone who likes thesemovies too, hey i have been searching this period drama film for years now, i saw it when i was little but now i wanna see it again. its about a girl who gets sold to gentlemens for a night of pleasure, untill one day this man who has health problems "purchases her" and they end up falling in love.... please help....
I love all these movies and... well I like the song but personally, I've never heard this version of it before and I found the singer's voice a little painful to listen to.... but the video was well made
You know what we love about these movies? ROMANCE, gentlemanlike behavior, dressing up I can never get enough! probably we live in a time where we have a lot of comforts but they can be distracting, here people had contact with people, they had to use their imagination but till i'ts great to have tea or hot drink with a good friend the real stuff, and the way they spoke was mezmerizing...
So far my favourite period drama are Pride and Prejudice (1995, with Colin Firth), "Persuasion" (1997, with Ciaran Hinds) and "Jane Eyre" (1997, with Ciaran hinds)... Check out "Bleak House", girls, with Gilian Anderson; it is very long (46 parts) but not bad...
i would love to live in one of these movies they are just soo amazing, and to think it could be that good without all this modern stuff life teles and mobile phones and things that people take for granted.
you know, i often think that too.. but the truth is, real life was far from this wonderful in 19th century. imagine having nothing to do but read, sew, and take walks! what would we do without internet?? lol and they couldn't even take proper baths and go to the bathroom.. agh.. i think it kinda sucked actually.. besides ppl weren't near this handsome lol.. ppl are prettier in our times
It's 'Ever After: a retelling of the Cinderella Story' starring Drew Barrymore and Dougray Scott. It's a very good movie full of romance and unlike so many dramas it's not predictable.
I don't know what some of them are talking about, I loved the music with the video,if you watched it,it was the men touching the womens hands or a look, a smile, which means "you say it best when you say nothing at all".Otherwords a smile, a touch,a look, anything, shows there feelings, I say well done. I really liked it.
Thanks you! And thank you for noticing all these moments with the touch, hand and look! I really tried to make it fit the music! Really grateful for your comment! Glad you enjoyed it!
That isn't Ronan Keating singing is it? I hate the new Jane Eyre and the new P&P though the others, North and South, P&P '95 and Tristian and Isolde so romantic but makes me cry
I made this a long time ago, and this was the only version of this song I had. I love all these movies, but North and South cannot be beaten ever!! That is my favourite series ever!!!
Agree with you there. There's just something extra special about North and south: is it the moving music, the gripping story that also deals with the trade union movement, the superb acting, the presence of Richard Armitage...I could go on and on and on...
I'm hopeless when it comes to period dramas. There's just something about the timelessness to love that gets me... My favorites at the moment are, in order, North & South, Jane Eyre ('07), P&P ('95), P&P ('05), and Sense & Sensibility. I enjoyed Mansfield Park and Northanger Abbey, but they don't quite rank with the others. I still need to check out Persuasion, Wives and Daughters, and Tristan + Isolde, though!
Hello all Joseph Smith here on Kolob, I just wanted to let my followers know that I am a false prophet, there were no golden plates, no vision in the woods, it was all a hoax. The demon Moroni was in on it with me. You can blame him.
This is a compilation of "North and South", "Wives and Daughters", "Ever After", "Pride and Prejudice 1995", "Pride and Prejudice 2005", "Sense and Sensibility" and "Tristan and Isolde"
Thank you so much noleen83! For me too, Thornton is definitely right up there with Darcy! I love North and South and Richard Armitage is brilliant in it! He is an amazing actor!
Yes, I do:) Together with P&P '05, North and South is my favorite period drama! I can't get enough of it, and of course every fan of N&S can't get enough of Mr. Thornton! Richard Armitage is brilliant in that role and of course all the rest of the casting is also amazing!
Thank you so much! I love putting clips together and making videos that way, it's really nice to be able to make more exposure for the films! Any attention that can be brought to these wonderful period dramas is always welcome! :)

This is a good vid. But the only thing is the version of this song is awful. It sounds a bit flatter than the original.
