why dont mine sound like that?
i have a gambian djembe, but it never sounds like this and sounds crap even though its tuned to the max! any reason?

@initbludz maybe not hitting it right...if it's really fully tuned and the construction isn't fstally flawed, it should sound at least similar

the wood, the carver, the country, your skills, the skin mounted etc...
he's an amazing very experimented player, ibeen playing like 5 years and i dont get those sharp tones yet jejej

well an antilope one would sound even louder, and a lion skin (in ritual drums) can be heard a long distance away :D
