Couldn't you make a minecart that you could jump in that would take you back in forth from the two spawners? So you sit in the cart that automatically goes back and forth from each collection point.. idk just a thought.

I little idea I had etho would be built off your original design for the blaze farm, but as the pistons funnel them towards the bottom, once it's a two by two area, use sticky pistons and pressure plates to push the blaze to the center in between the 2 farms and use lava to bring them to a higher level, where they'll rise into a chamber where you can suffocate them. I hope it makes sense :)

It won't work. It will only work on Lapis Lazuli, which is odd.

@TheVininly i dont think so, fortune only works on things that you cant place and re-fortune. seeing as how silk touch gives you the ore block, its probably likely that the fortune will go invalid. also im not sure if you can get something else legit with silk touch.

etho, as a fellow redstoner myself, i would like to point out a few things, and then maybe offer a solution to your problem,

1: as of later than 1.7 mobs float on top of water and lava flow, so technically you need a 2 block high passage ABOVE water/lava for a 2 block high mob to be carried in now.

2: someone mentioned (in broken english) to make a staircase towards the middle, i would like to expound on this.

you have the piston rings that push them towards the middle, make a staircase of

@WeAreGRID (cont above) piston rings to where they get pushed towards the middle, then you can just have your already made and functional 2x2 (or a 1x2, if its odd numbered space between) crusher in the middle, and then at that point you already have a perfectly working mobfarm, the only thing you are missing from your current setup is the piston pusher staircase in the middle.

You probably just need fence gates along the edge and not across the entire floor, that way they won't be in the headspace at the lower levels.

As for connecting the two, why not move the cone shape at the bottom toward the other spawner? only have pistons on the far side to push them inward and they'll drop straight down on the side closest to the other, that way pushing them to one another with pistons might be more practical.

Ok, I have an idea which is kinda like the conveyor:

Using the Lava floaty to the top thing, get them to float up,

then using a piston on a universal pulser (pulses all the pistons) push them to a drop,

make them fall then repeat

Not sure if it helps but hope it does :D

Why not just use signs around the edge of the top layer? It will cause them to walk off easier and then the pistons will do the rest. You really don't need the fence gates all the way down, you really only need them for that top outer ring, and signs would just look much cleaner if you used them over fence gates.

I was pretty sure that lava didn't have a current at the start of the video, when Etho said he was going to merge them by using pistons to push the blaze, like I thought you were going to have to dig real deep, for the "magma tubing" you still did that, maybe you could convert it to pistons, you have plenty of resources :D

Etho, lava currently does not have a current to move anything. So thats why the blaze was the moving, to test it just drink a fire resist potion and see if u move in the lava :)

Etho! The reason that blaze that swam up the lave wasnt getting pushed at the top was because it was on the lave source block AKA still lava! Please retry it but move back the source block one or two.

Etho I built one in creative mode and made it out of pistons like some do the elevators.

The floor being pressure plates would push them along, but if to many got on it the piston would just stay out. Maybe u can perfect it so the pistons would be on a pulse timer to keep pushing.
