PPL PPL!! why are u saying its no help? its so damn easy! this is how to hold a power chord (at least standard ones): lets take the E in this vid: pointerfinger on 7 fret, A-string, ringfinger on 9 fret, D-string, and pinky (the tiny finger) on 9 fret, G-string.

now u know a basic power chord. keep ur fingers that way, and move ur fingers on the neck as this guy does!

It isnt a G power chord really. It's basicaly the bottom four notes of a barred G chord - so a G power chord and the fourth fret on the g string :p

It's pretty obvious to see where the power chords are placed + you know wich chords (E - G - D etc.). If you simply don't know what a power chord is (or how they look like), then you should start with something else anyway.
