Well...this company has a history of selling cars then going out of business like they just did this month. I lost a $2,500 deposit I had on another Cobra. The kit is not 100% bad, you can make a nice car out of it if you have the skills. There are other manufacturers more reliable and produce better quality kit. I am making these videos to help those that got burned but still want to build the kit themselves.
I would like to make a relica body out of wood and hand form aluminum the way the original was made. I don't send anything out except for some machine work.
Depends how you look at it. Since I planned to build most of the car myself either buying or fabricating parts, it's a cheap way to get a frame, body and some okay accessories. I think the next one will be a Kirkham body and hand built tubular frame. But...you comment is very accurate.
Thanks for the Vidio. I bought a Streetbeast 34 Coupe from a Guy that was overwhelmed and didndt get to 2nd base on it. Its a 2000 model and I guess they did a better job back then because I havent had a lot of prob with it . If you want to you can chk my vidios @ MidnightJohnson 34 Ford Build
sorry that one turned out to be so bad and so much work. i was debating on buying either a street beast cobra or a factory five cobra... and after seeing this video i think i'm gonna go with the factory five (less hassle). thanks for the info senor... and good luck!
I wanted to build a 427 Cobra but never had the chance. I have a client who wants one and is waiting for me to finish it. It's not his yet, but after he sees and drives it he'll write a check. I decided to make the video series because there is so much limited, honest information out there on kit cars. Hopefully they will help others looking to build one.
The fibergalss is pretty stable. Probably more than aluminum. I don't think you'd have any problems or anything to worry about. The paint used would be a bigger concern.
WOW, Peter, GREAT Video! I really wish that I would have watched it BEFORE I purchased my "kit" I have been treated the Exact Same Way! I still do not have all the pieces to my car. I will call you tonight
i'd be so embarrased if i was the the owner of streetbeasts!
oh well.
