As of now, there are better Android devices than the iPhone, speaking in terms of processor speed and RAM and 3g/4g speeds. You know I've noticed that PC people or none Mac people are becoming more annoying than the Apple fanboys. It seems that the elitism that Apple people once had is switching to the PC users. And if I remember the IOS mobile software was made public years before google and it's partners developed Android. Android was made to compete is iPhone not the other way around.
Apple never claim to have invented everything, everyone knows the story of how they started in the first place. However they do (almost) everything they attempt extremely well. Obviously it has its shortcomings, but anyone who uses an iphone and compares it to the usability of an android phone or device will know, that they just "feel" better. It's hard to speak about it any more specifically than that, but things just seem to operate nicer, even if many of the features are the same.

Apple is copying these features. If you bother to take an honest look, however, you will notice that Apple' version is better. Apple innovates, but when Apple copies, it improves.

android is ahead of the competition, i agree. but maybe you should do a little reading on what innovation really means, get a little deeper understanding. it's not just to be the first to come up with a new 'invention'.
also, take a look at some android keynotes, if you can be somewhat objective you will see that they too exaggerate new features (copied, inspired, their own), and people get all too excited. this is how it goes. but everyone loves to bash apple. it's so mature. not.

Oh come on. Every platform steals from other platforms (Android didn't invent the touch-based keyboard, Microsoft didn't invent graphical user interfaces, etc.). Who cares who steals what from who as long as we get better, cheaper and more innovative products?! If Android (or any other OS) was the ONLY OS for phones, you'd still be using single core phones with a 1.5" display and a physical keyboard.

Wow you really hate the iOS and Apple... For all the _____ u give Apple, you can't deny that they made touch screen phones popular, and that they made tablets popular. Android, as we know it, probably wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the iPhone. As a developer I use both the iPhone and an HTC Android phone. I like both systems equally, and I don't see why people have to side with one or the other. Both systems are fairly similar, it's easy to switch back and forth. Anyone try MeeGo yet?

The operating system that Android has got the baseline of apples. I agree apple has taken some of the ideas of androids, but they've taken it and made it better. It's still offering downloadable content. 2005, bam, Xbox 360 with Xbox Live Arcade. Dowloading games from the internet was not a new idea. Apple has just made its own marketplace for phones. That was a good decision, nonetheless it was nothing new. Android had to have its own store to be competitive.

Android accepts that companies borrow ideas from each other. Apple on the other hand patents everything from the square shape to the circle home button, I dont hate apple because the copy, but because they do and yet sue anything that even vaguely resembles there devices. (Remember when they sued "the big apple" in 2008?)

apple certainly didnt invent any of its major products! the way I look at it is that it doesn't matter who had what feature first or what company stole what, it comes down to how good both operating systems are, and they are both brilliant. when the iphone first came out, no phone was like it in terms of functionality and style. I suppose since then android has copied a few things off the original iphone os, that's the way things work everything is taken from something so please stop bitching :P

And if I remember the IOS mobile software was made public years before google and it's partners developed Android. Android was made to compete is iPhone not the other way around.

Apple never claim to have invented everything, everyone knows the story of how they started in the first place. However they do (almost) everything they attempt extremely well. Obviously it has its shortcomings, but anyone who uses an iphone and compares it to the usability of an android phone or device will know, that they just "feel" better. It's hard to speak about it any more specifically than that, but things just seem to operate nicer, even if many of the features are the same.
