I LOVED watching this! Don't have my folks anymore, but one of my mom's first cousins has a 1 yr old computer (gift from her daughter), collecting dust. She's always saying that she's too old, will get too confused, can't learn, might break it, etc. etc., with the excuses. Showed her this video & she's agreed (FINALLY) to let me show her how to play some games because she wants to keep her mind sharp like your dad said. Now she wants a Kindle, so I guess I'm going to have to spring for it. LOL

Just a reminder: For Chris's Dad. You can get Microsoft Excel for the Mac. I have been using it for a while now and I think it is great on Mac OS X. The user interface is a tinywiny different compared to the Windows version.

@gladgura The MS office package is really horrible on OSX. You're much better off with LibreOffice or OpenOffice. Both of which are completely free.

Put him in more videos! I would love to see what tablet he likes better. It might be just the opposite, he said he liked the kindle because it was small and could hold it in one hand comfortably and play games easily. But when he gets into the browsing experience, I'm sure he will like the iPad much better due to bigger screen, better display and just overall smoothness of it.

If he likes the Fire for the size he should get a Playbook after feb 17th. Right now The playbook has great hardware but the software is lacking. but Feb 17 the new OS for it comes out and it supports android apps and BlackBerry. apps. i have been running the beta and its super fast. its The best tablet OS i have used and its a Beta. the final ships Feb. 17th. you should keep an eye out for that one Chris. :-)
