  • I love the Graduate & Davis! Unbelievable moment.

  • Cracking goal, and fantastic supporters from the yanks.

  • Ha usa what a joke of a team. They need to recruit some players from the ghetto

  • Wish the Hard Rock cafe here in NYC had batshit insane soccer fans like these.

  • lol - Americans.

They thought they scored again on the replay!

  • @jazzx251 No one did! What did you expect us to do? Stand silent during a replay of one of the greatest goals in US history? Stop being an ignorant European.

  • @jazzx251 Yeah.. like they don't know what the instant replay is... I don't even have to look it up to know that they probably invented the shit and used before anyone else in their basketball, baseball, hockey or whatever they show on tv there...

  • lol usa not good at soccer, im not bragging, making fun, or hating, but they do. If im not mistaken, they never won the world cup, do they suck? no, are they better than south american or european countries? definately not, its just not in their blood. And their record proves it. Only place usa got a shot is at womens soccer

  • @XxBl3nderxX Holland hasn't won the World Cup either. That means they suck, Right? Also we beat Spain 2-0 in 2009 and beat Portugal and narrowly lost to Germany in 2002. USA is very quickly becoming a world Football power!

  • @Headcheezonium yeah but when it comes time to play in the world cup they lose too early. That was just luck cuz spain would have usa for breakfast.

  • @Headcheezonium USA were robbed against Germany in 2002, it was a cracking game that the yanks should have won, only Oliver Khan kept the Germans in the game.

It was a pleasure to watch that game.

  • What's the address to this place? I'll make the drive for 2014

  • So funny--as a UCD student in the 80s I spent my share of time here in this very spot. I recall watching most of the 1987 NLCS at The Graduate hoping to share in this kind of celebration when the SF Giants beat the Cards to advance to the World Series. Unfortunately, despite some "One Flap Down" heroics, the artistic slidings of one Candy Maldonado guaranteed that would never happen. It's just as well there is no video of how things looked at the Grad that night!

  • Going back to the grad next world cup, craziest atmosphere ever!

  • fucking quality video, well done. Wish i could've been at this watch party for this game

  • Still gives me goosebumps :)

  • Video Category Fail (Science & Technology).

  • This my favorite one too.....it is loud as hell like a volcano erupting....it was completely insane!!!! Love it.

  • I love this one the best. Just pure bedlam!

  • This, along with the Lincoln, Nebraska one is the best reaction.

  • Can everyone stop the fucking arguing? There are enough things that people compare the US and the rest of the world with. As you can see from the video, yes, we are passionate about soccer/football. How many of you South Americans or Europeans have actually been here? Don't go saying shit about a country if you haven't been there.

  • very nice, but everytime the us plays in the world cup. they have more than 300 MILLION people behind them and not just in america but all over the world and thats more than most south american countries or eastern european countries can say and take into account that we beat england which has some of the best players of the game like rooney, lampard, terry and others

  • .05

This is the passion of American soccer. That crowd.

  • I thought USA really didn't cared for football, this proved me wrong.

  • USA, USA, USA...

    From Brasil!!!!!!!!

  • I wish the world cup would come around more often. But I guess thats what makes it special. I never liked football until this last World Cup. I'll never forget this.

  • The best goal reaction to that USA goal...Intense roar @ :05....

  • je ne veux pas gacher la fete , but il y a eu une faute sur le gadien du but. sorry

  • This goal-reaction video is the best I've seen. Although all the videos show an intense emotional reaction, for me this one is the most intense. Love it

  • congratulation USA from algerian football lover we didnt have choice in the last minute we did the best to get a goal to get 3 point since we have just 1 and england 4 and usa have 4 so we had to beat usa to be 4 point for the tree teams and slovinia 3 so algeria go with england to the next stage but USA as allways they are smart and playin to the last second get an amazing reaction so 6 point .to the next stage leading the group any way it was great and aowsom game see you in 2014 in brazil

  • LOL I just noticed the guy with the blue hair wearing the red shirt looks like Jason Mayhem Miller hahaha

  • Welcome to the World Cup.

  • USA USA USA USAAAAAA.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • i love my country is a pride to be american.

  • @Louiejack - Sorry Louie, looks like this is a sensitive subject for you - something tells me that you let out more than just a "yawn" after we won gold. You're right though, Crosby does play in Pittsburgh, in the USA, since he was drafted there, but that doesn't make him any less Canadian, retard.

Don't hear the anthem much at the olympics? 14 gold to your 9 in Vancouver. I think you heard the Canadian anthem plenty. But hey, at least the World Cup worked out for you, right?

    ...

  • Go USA!! And Go Aggies!!!! :-)

  • This will be remembered as one of the great moments in American sports history, and not just because of what the goal earned the US that day. It's because of stuff like this - people all over the country crowded around TVs and into bars to watch this team take on the world. It was everything we needed - something to rally around and cheer for as one.

  • best soccer moment of 2010!!!

  • Che bello, almeno voi avete esultato come si deve.

    From Italy..

  • Needed something to cheer about after Crosby crushed your dreams in OT, eh?

  • @smit024 Hockey is a sport that's beloved by the Canadians and viewed with the utmost apathy by the Americans, yet the Canadian hockey team barely (although fairly) beat the Americans in the biggest game on the biggest stage the sport has......go fuck yourself retard. We let out a big yawn after that goal. And by the way, where does Crosby play again? In the USA. I do like the Canadian national anthem though, too bad they don't play it much at the Olympics.

  • And the US really needed something to cheer for with the oil spill etc... The timing was perfect!

  • This is the best bar EVER.

  • this is the best reaction of Landon's goal.

  • USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA!

  • The beautiful game in a nutshell,,,,,,,.no more to say VIVA USA

  • This was so awesome. At any given bar on a given day you'll see 20 different games on and fans of nearly every team on the TV. It was so awesome to be at a bar where everyone was cheering for one team and got to go nuts.

  • Nice to see the fans in the USA getting so passionate about football...

  • get chills down my spine watching this! GO USA!

  • Best reaction of them all

  • did any body died

  • I was watching by myself at home, but i had the same reaction as everyone in the place! I was so disappointed i couldn't share my excitement with anyone but the cat. I still kick myself in the ass for not going to the bar.

  • @Adam253 poor cat. lol

  • *cry* i hope all americans loved soccer like that

  • it's funny watching this video. i remember this game like it was yesterday. my friend and i put money on it. and I remember we were going ballistic from one specific missed call/offsides/goal not counting and after that injury time goal we just went CRAZY.what's hilarious was after that goal we were all like USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! and by judging from 3-4 other videos, it's safe to say, we weren't the only ones chanting USA at the time hahah...

  • u people should stick to baseball

  • i have a goose flesh without being an american

  • I am English but live in the US so have a soft spot for them. Watching these celebrations give me a warm fuzzy feeling - was so great to see Americans getting interested in soccer. I was disappointed when they went out.

  • I have to admit altough journalists will not concour but this was top 5 moments in 2010 USA Sports

  • Great resolution on the screen, and the collective breath before the exclamation after the goal is also fantastic. This might be my favorite of all these vids, and I personally shot the grainy "Las Vegas pub reaction" one. Will never foget that day, that moment. Exhilirating. I just wish they hadn't wasted the opportunity to make it to the quarters, at least.

  • GO GO USA!!!!

  • great feeling from germany

  • How are we expected to grow an interest in soccer when ESPN shows literally two MLS games a month? Cut the poker, women's basketball, whatever, but give us one or two soccer games a week

  • @sheridanj13 it would need more than that, in england there are probably 30 live games a week from football all around the world.

  • Wow I didn't know that soccer is so popular in America. I also supported USA at the wc but unfortunately they couldn't beat ghana.

  • I love how something like this can bring so many people together. God Bless America.....

  • Haha there's even a Vuvuzela going in the background (I think)!!

  • @Dhalsim06 yeah there was a vuvuzela. It was the craziest scene I've ever been at; it was awesome!!! All four of the US games were a huge tension filled party. :-)

  • @crbond016 Sounds great! :)

It has always amazed me when foreigners think that the USA doesn't care about soccer...Americans have just as much passion if not more than any other country....Its the sports MEDIA in the USA that doesn't like soccer...Why? Because they cant pause for commercials every 10 minutes like they can for a baseball, football or basketball game....So basically they cant make money off advertising so they would rather not show soccer on TV....Take that to the bank

  • @Kushsmoka420 True story. Plus Americans prefer European club ball to MLS for the most part, and not everyone wants to pay for FSC and ESPN treats Euro ball like bowling tournaments. The World Cup proved we can be just as passionate as anyone else

  • @Kushsmoka420

yup i'm big on the kush too my friend, cali's finest to be exact.

but youre right man, ive been saying that for years and years. cuz they can't pause for commercials between EVERY single fucking freethrow, and not only that but the average american's attention span (not necessarily their fault) is about 3 nanoseconds..

consider this: if in the NHL the game continues on for too long without there being a stoppage, they switch to a mandatory "TV TIMEOUT," i'm not fucking kidding..

  • @fickole TV timeouts in the NHL only can be called after a stoppage in play that isn't an icing. The way you worded it made it seem like the broadcasting company could call a timeout during play.

  • @Kushsmoka420

yup i'm big on the kush too my friend, cali's finest to be exact.

but youre right man, ive been saying that for years and years. cuz they can't pause for commercials between EVERY single frickin freethrow, and not only that but the average american's attention span (not necessarily their fault) is about 3 nanoseconds..

consider this: if in the NHL the game continues on for too long without there being a stoppage, they switch to a mandatory "TV TIMEOUT," i'm not kidding..

  • @Kushsmoka420 Amen.

  • @Alboravin ..thanks for the positive response!!!!!

  • @Kushsmoka420 No problem, you guys deserve it after that performance and those reactions. Hopefully in Rio 2014 they won't try to disallow your goalkeeper too (seriously, so many goals stolen by the refs), but then again FIFA is actually the biggest joke on earth.

The USA's performance in WC2010 was much better than England, France and Italy combined. And those have always been big guns in football. In fact i'd say the USA deserved a little better, perhaps an appearance in the quarterfinals.

  • @Alboravin ..thanks again bro....yes we did out-perform those countries but we have alot of respect for thoses teams as well and i'm sure they will not take us lightly anymore..Now we have to keep improving even more to keep up with the rest of the world..We shouldn't have lost to Ghana but I have faith that we will win it all in my lifetime...Hell back in 1994 I couldn't see myself saying that but we have come a long way in a short amount of time

  • @Kushsmoka420 It's not how you start off, it's how you finish the journey. I'd know being Spanish myself - I'll take a 1st group match loss anyday if it means winning a world cup. Back in '94 it may have seemed impossible for the US to one day win it all, but @ that time seeds were being sown for US football. Seeds are hard to spot, but a decade later you just can't avoid what's flourished. Greatness is achievable with enough time - one small goal for Donovan, one giant leap for US football.

  • @Alboravin The americans may not be the most talented side in football, but their attitude is top class. they are a young, energetic side who show much perserverance and passion. Look out for the future! Football is the only sport that will truly gain you respect globally.

  • @Kushsmoka420

    Loads of truth to that.

The only bit you got wrong was "every 10 minutes" - I've seen American Football games where there's commercials after every drive, and every score, and every timeout (of course). But even that's not enough - they have to have the "2 minute warning" - an invention solely for the purpose of an ad-break just before the most exciting part of the game when the most people will be watching. If there was an uninterrupted 10 minutes in that game, it'd be bliss!

  • @jazzx251 ...thx for the +++ response....LOL yea i shouldve said every 2 minutes but I think most people got the point..One day we will win the world cup and then the rest of the world will realize that we care about this sport as much as anyone else..Then they will really hate us!!

  • @Kushsmoka420 I agree with you except for the baseball comment... they only go to commercial in between innings and during pitching changes

  • @Kushsmoka420 Sorry to tell you but, you will never have more passion than Argentina, Uruguay or Brasil.. That is a fact, but USA to be a young country in football has a lot of passion

  • @diegomanya17 ...you are missing the point my friend...im talking about the people in this country (and there is alot) who care about soccer are just as passionate as anyone else...What makes you think that we aern't? Sure there are alot of people here who dont care for the sport but that is not what im arguing...

  • @Kushsmoka420 I know what you mean, but being passionate is something that you have since you were born.. I recomend you search in Youtube : HINCHADA BOCA ... or HINCHADA PEÑAROL .. Those are just some clubs of Argentina and Uruguay.. Imagine all the other clubs.. We are very special here in Argentina and Uruguay, because teams are built by people, not companies, so your club is built with effort and that takes you to love your club, besides we play football since our countries exist

  • @diegomanya17 we may not have better players like good ol' Pele or Diego Maradona but we have got some of the biggest shitload of passion for the USA National Team and that is really all that counts back home

  • @yarginjargin17 U r kiding, right ? I can tell u have never been to Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Eastern Europe.... Please, USA is OK, but nothing special.. EVERY single journalist (europeans mainly) that has come to Argentina and Uruguay cannot believe the passion we have for our teams, it's not like the US.. our teams are our lives..

  • @yarginjargin17 U don't need great players to have passion.. Look at my team playing in another city (Buenos Aires) for the Copa Libertadores semifinals (We are now in the finals) : /watch?v=jmoR3aQK6YQ .... That is just something u r not going to see.. 9.000 fans go to another city and sing and root like that, that does not happen in the US, and barely any other place in the world..

  • @Kushsmoka420 good post. I agree slightly. But the Media can make ad revenue by small product placement...like little Budlight bars for 10 minutes next to the score and switch it out for other customers. Other product placement too in little breaks of action.

  • @Kushsmoka420 The media will pick up on it when it becomes more popular. Right now it's not bigger than MLB-NFL-NBA, but it's getting there. ESPN is taking notice with their EPL coverage expansion, MLS is growing massively. Problem was soccer (and the US Fed) was minor league until the late 90s (well I consider it still minor league in terms of level of competitiveness where Europe gobbles our best players. Soccer got a late start but it could challenge the NBA/MLB (it'll never take over NFL).

  • @m7abel I agree that its a slow process for Soccer in the USA to become more popular but if the media helped it out then I think the USA can become a real powerhouse in the sport...I was just at the USA mexico game at the rose bowl and it was 9 to 1 fan ratio in favor of Mexico..Yes the game was in the LA area but a home team should never be outnumbered in fan support..If the game wouldve been played in lets say ohio then the ratio might have been in favor for the USA

  • @Kushsmoka420 media won't though when they are on the NFL/NBA/MLB payroll. That will change as long as interest continues to grow. Because once those ratings numbers come out...the only loyalty ESPN/ABC will have is towards the ratings and selling ads. I think soccer will grow considerably - but Sunil needs to GTFO so we can hurry and revamp the youth system.

  • @Kushsmoka420 exactly. and because of the greedy media, other countries all think that we don't have any base for soccer. i wish it weren't that way, soccer is way more fun to watch than the nba

  • USA USA USA USA :D

  • Thumbs up if you think this sounds like a crowd at a stadium.

  • @s0ccer96 no doubt

  • Badass

  • Wow! There's nothing like hearing a crowd explode in joy like that. Thanks for uploading!

  • This Amazing so inceredible:) Congratulation Usa from hungary:)

  • everyone needs to stop arguing about which sort takes more skill, because last time i check its not so easy to make it in any professional sport, can't everyone just be happy and watch the video?

  • @franksters08 I agree with you that it should be more popular and it's very exiting but it's definitely not the toughest sport out there. Baseball requires much more hand eye coordination because you have a split second to knock the ball out of the park and it defenetly takes much less endurance than hockey. By the way I play both these sports so I have a pretty good idea what I'm talking about.

  • Brilliant

  • this may be the best "reaction" video out there...the pure emotion is amazing

  • e desde quando americano torce para o futebol filhos da puta viados cuzões

  • Proud Davis resident! This vid is f'totes awesome :) Thanks for representing!

  • I still dont know why soccer isnt a huge sport in America. I find it a lot more intense and emotional sport than baseball or American football. It also takes a lot more skills than any sport out there. You need endurance, speed and eye coordination. You have to know how to kick the ball and where to kick the ball and from what part of the foot to kick it from. America has so many immigrants from different backgrounds and we still cant win the cup.

  • I'm wasn't rooting for the USA but I'm really glad USA is getting more into soccer these days.

  • @deFATpanda football*

  • @Trigunflame

    That was almost creative.

  • And if soccer wants to hit American mainstream acceptance, they have to stop with the girlish drama queens that fake injuries whenever someone so much as farts in their general direction.

Americans, like the Romans in their day, like a little violence.

  • All sixteen soccer fans in the United States consolidated into one area. With one of them trying to hit the "brown note" on his ghetto saxamaphone to make everyone poop.

Seriously, the only reason soccer goals are so crazy is that you can watch for ever in total boredom waiting for someone to finally make a goal, and games are often 1:0 or 2:1.

I say this as a soccer player in my youth, football, basketball, and cage fighting is far more entertaining to watch.

  • I love how the USA is starting to get into soccer... I mean real football =)

  • I´m a Brazilian and had lived in USA for some months as an exchange student long time ago. You, americans, wouldn´t beleive how happy we all were after this goal and mostly due the kind of reactions displayed here and in some others videos. As the german guy said, it seems that americans finally understood what soccer is about. Sorry for my "rusty" english and welcome to the club!!!!!

  • For many years we have been trying to explain to the Americans what the World Cup means. Finally, they get the picture!

  • The world's reaction to Ghana beating the USA's ass AGAIN =

    LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yee Davis

  • Nunca pense que en USA celebraran un gol asi, aprece alguna ciudad de europa o sudamerica.

  • i love davis <3

  • I'm happy the World Cup for the USA is over. IMO, our participation in the Cup erodes our uniqueness. Soccer feels so....'foreign'. Soccer isn't even in our Top 3 sports and I LOVE that about the U.S.. we are not like 'them'. I take pride in the fact that, unlike the rest of the world, we don't become hysteric, flag waving, crying maniacs over a soccer game. It's for the same reason we don't see flag burnings, mass protests, & parliamentary governments. It's because WE ARE UNIQUE.

  • @dolphin558 you are so right. you are watching baseball for 5 hours or hockey, where you need little mascots to hold up signs "clap your hands if you like". thank god not all us-americans are such narrow minded and arrogant as you are.

  • @minipcpro Well said!

  • @dolphin558: "'WE ARE UNIQUE."

    Uniquely ignorant, especially.

  • @dolphin558

    Oh yeah, so unique...

  • Comment removed

  • @dolphin558 Just because it was created elsewhere and because it's played and loved by most of the world, is not a reason to dislike it. Soccer, at its purest, is about creativity and unpredictablity. It allows you to have your own style. That's what makes it so BEAUTIFUL and UNIQUE. Isn't that what America is all about? Isn't that what we value? So by this definition, Soccer is VERY American. ;D

  • Of all the reactions I've seen on Landon Donovan's goal, this is by far and away the BEST. The right ingredients were there: Plenty of TV screens, lots of people, and a whole lotta screamin' going on!

  • The American players were exhausted, I was saddened by the departure of the Americans, because you are getting to know now what the world already knows, is decades

  • Soccer is a gay, especially USA soccer.

    Ghana! LMFAO!!!!!

  • @TheSwedeJohan Really? Where was Sweden in the World Cup? Opps didn't make it haha now that's Pathetic we did better then Sweden!

  • Congratulations Davis, California. I have watched ALL the videos and your crowd reaction is far and away the best. The empassioned throated joy that eminates when the ball hits the net is a sound that I have heard maybe once or twice in my life. See ya in '14.

  • @ Minicpro- your so right. I was your typical baseball, American football, basketball guy until 2002 with the great U.S. run in the W.Cup and to see Donovan cause your boys (Geramy) fits in that quarterfinal match I became a huge fan. Hopefully this will open up some eyes to the game.

  • thats awesome! even tough we lost against ghana I like how more and more americans are gettin ginto soccer. I mean this seriously beats nfl or nba you are cheering for a whole NATION! not just a city...but yea everone go to bill clinton's website so the world cup can be here in the U.S in 2018

  • holy crap that gave me shivers lol

  • great reactions. congratulations. you have a fantastic team with spirit. i hope soccer will be more famous in the u.s. - many greetings from germany

  • @DirkyPower

Thanks for your support. It means a lot

  • @DirkyPower

And I hope Jurgen Klinsmann is our next coach!!!

  • @DirkyPower lol finally a non american that isn't calling americans fat or stupid. respect

  • "when you are a german guy who had these moments a gazillion times,"

This was only the second time in world cup history a goal in stoppage time was scored to save a team from elimination.

  • @r2d23678 What you talkin about bollock brain? The british invented the game and named it Football so it kind of makes sense to call it football.

  • pretty sick reactions, looks and sounds like a European or south American crowd already...

  • the virus of the football finally also in USA, you don't know what you have lost in all these years. I'm very happy for you

  • @arnone24 were more of an American football nation that's definitely our most popular sport

  • @scotthebruce woops!! forgot to read the second part of your comment my bad

  • @scotthebruce your just afraid that the U.S is gonna get good at soccer/football and kick your countries ass

    VOTE USA world cup 2014

  • It's so amazing to see our country so into the sport now. Granted, we've never been the greatest at soccer, but our team playing so wonderfully in South Africa shows that hard work and preserverance will always pay off. I've always loved this sport, and seeing others here coming together, putting differences aside to watch such an amazing and thrilling sport tugs on your heart strings. The sound of the cheers is nothing short of amazing - thank you for this video!

  • Patriotism boys, something my country have been told is evil. Well done USA

  • i think the only reason why the US is doing good is so they can beat North Korea in a FINAL SHOWDOWN

  • a bit over the top hahahaha but very emotional :) I thought you guys werent big fans of football, I always thought you were a baseball nation

  • Could soccer be any more boring? If you have trouble sleeping put on a soccer game!

  • @v1f9 you are gay=D.....asshole

  • a bit over the top hahahaha but very emotional :) I thought you guys werent big fans of football, I always thought you were a baseball nation

  • who said the americans do not like football??

  • was that a vuvuzela? lol

  • It's missing the guy in purple going super saiyan.

    .

Don't worry I took care of that for you.

    .

<--- 1080p HD Spanish Version Thumbs Up

  • vuvuzuelas... there..

  • @NeedleGunner

    hahaha ye indeed :D

  • I love soccer...and davis...Go aggies!!!!

  • i know americans will ruin soccer, just like just about everything they touch. the world cup with be full of corruption and fixed games. VOTE NO FOR USA WORLD CUP 2014!

  • Stupid Americans, they probably thought the replay was the second goal...LOL

  • finally donavon is actually doing something internationally...

    props

  • sick

  • Comment removed

  • Every time I watch this and hear the hopeful groan as the keeper dives in front of Dempsey's shot, then the silence just before the massive roar as Donovan comes steaming in out of nowhere to cooly crack in the rebound...I relive the moment and find myself cheering right along. It was one of the best moments I've ever had watching any sporting match...and I hope it continues on tomorrow against Ghana!

  • @jungrobot i couldnt agree with you any more it gives me chills everytime i see it

  • vuvuzela fail

  • Agree with other posters here - it's so great to see Americans finally enjoying the beautiful game. Even though I'm a Brit and a tad embarrased USA finished above England in our group, they've had a great World Cup so far and I wish our cousins across the pond all the best in the rest of the tournament
