Yes, it should have been played with an original PS or PS2. I used the original disk though, as I have two of them (I have completed this 105% on the original PS and saved it on a memory card).

But how the hell you can record with a decent quality without using an emulator?

Remember, analog cables really don't go that straight to computers, especially not inwards.

One possibility would be VCR cassette recorder, but how you get the recorded video to a computer?

Burning to DVD while playing would give some delay to the game shown on the TV, thus making it hard to play So-called capture cards (Dazzle, for example) would work fine, but I really can't be bothered to get one.

Video camera has a horrible quality.

Any suggestions how to do it as it seems so easy to you?

It's rather complicated, as you'll have to use a transferring program and a suitable cable to get it to computer from the video cassettes. Recording isn't a problem, but transferring it to a computer is. Using an emulator is far easier.

I just play it on an emulator (ePSXe), a computer program used to play console games on higher resolutions. This is scaled to 1280x768 resolution and recorded with screen capturer called Fraps. I think the quality is higher as well if you play this using PS3 and a HD television.
