I had prostatitis and took like 10 pills of this crap, i started to feel pain in my achiles tendon and i didnt know why.. then i got really bad anxiety, panic attacks and this got worse after 3 months. I feel a little better now, but still i cant get ride of heart palpitations... It annoys me. Anyone knows how long this menace will last ? I would accept waiting 1 year or 2.. but i really want me old me back.

Why do people keep saying it's a chemotherapeutant like it's a bad thing. All antibiotics are chemotherapeutants! It's not just quinolone type antibiotics. Before people freak out about taking chemo drugs, they really ought to first learn what chemotherapy means. It's not the same as taking chemo for cancer.

when a drug is released to the public everything is not known, as it is impossible to get the same amount of information from clinical trials as a public release. People complain about the cost of medication, due in large part to R&D, Clinical trials and all the other things it takes to make and release an FDA approved drug; This takes millions upon millions of dollars. Okay then, you now want more testing? Further raising the cost of medications.

If you now the risk of the drug then good you're doing your job as a patient, people tend to believe that doctors are some how omnipotent beings that know everything there is to know about everything that takes place in the medical field; Do you know everything there is to know in your field? I highly doubt it, and if you think you do then I'm sorry but that is just ignorant. Also any drug you take can be poison at some level.Tylenol, Advil.

So the next day we went back and we told them how the next morning when he woke up he fell straight down when he tried to get up. His legs didn't work. And the same drs that gave him the drug were all saying ohhh no it's not the medicine that is causing that. you must have rheumatoid arthritis. When he was just fine. besides what ever infection he had. Now my husband has bad days and it kills me to see him in so much pain. Some doctors don't care about their patients. no insurance no help....

Sorry, I didn't say it's not bad. I'm pretty much saying not everything is good for you. Why do people smoke, drink, do cocaine, heroin, take stimulant antihistamines, even cola is terrible for you. Yes if you can avoid putting harmful things into your body, do it. Sometimes you got to take a chance. I've read a lot of reports on people talking about there side effects and yes that's terrible. But some people did not follow the directions either.How many people take tylonol while drinking?

Like being crippled and in agonizing, unrelenting, chronic PAIN the likes of which cannot be described nor imagined. I most certainly did read the drug info that came with it--NOWHERE did it make any mention of PERMANENT side effects! Nor did it say that if you become poisoned by it that you'd experience EVERY SINGLE THING ON THE LABEL AT ONCE!!!  Not to mention all the horrors they omitted altogether!

@papatoony Well, I'm sorry for your luck. When did you take it? Maybe your pharmacy sucks and your doc? I got mine about a year ago and it had a ton of info on the package. It list all the side effects I ever read about plus some. And the pharmacist actually gave me a few tips and urged me that if I did get ANY side effects to stop taking it immediately. So I was warned. Plus I google pretty much everything I and my wife take so I'm educated a little bit. I truly do feel bad.

Hey folks, she's serious. Some of the adverse effects of cipro can be debilitating and for some people, long-term (years) or permanent. I consider myself extremely lucky to have survived a different quinolone with only a few months of intense pain and other very bad problems. AVOID TAKING Cipro, Avelox, Levaquin, Floxin, Baytril or any quinolone. I've you've been affected then please find the Fluoroquinolone support groups in Facebook. Your doctors are idiots who know nothing.

I took this poison for two weeks, my doctor had actually prescribed it for four weeks but i stopped taking it because suddenly (overnight) started to experience side effects (neuropathy and arthritis). First on my feet and hands, but weeks later it was allover my body (a nightmare) i couldn't do the things i would normally do (like enjoy my day, i was in constant pain and discomfort). I got depressed thinking this was not going to go away, im ok now (95%). DON'T TAKE CIPRO unless last resort.

Not that I'm sticking up for the drug but all drugs have side effects. And most have severe side effects. I've been taking cipro for a prostate infection and It's the only thing that has done anything to the E.Coli living in my warm safe prostate. What would I have done without it? Logically if you experience ANY side effects of any drug you stop taking it immediately! Do people know how bad radiation and chemo are for your body? Terrible, they kill EVRYTHING!

I did my run with cipro while taking other supplements to help combat it's side effects. If you were in my position you might do the same. Imagine going to the bathroom every 15 minutes (even at night) for 6 months and having a immense pain in one of your balls and know you're becoming sterile right when you're trying to have kids! Cipro and diet helped me!
