  • i love the fact you did things joe didn't do in his recording i mean it is a cover should have a look at my attempt i put different bits and pieces in it as well /watch?v=ysbQppdXoSU would mean allot.

  • nice, but too much bass...

  • good :)

  • LOL I like the over-the-fretboard hand position in the middle of the song.

  • I've been trying to learn this for ages! and you play it perfect bravo

  • beautiful bro, beautiful;)

  • Well done...

  • Great tone/cover.Check mine too!

  • u dont have tabs?

  • Well seems like you do ;)

  • Great job...lol @ random harmonic

  • great job!

  • good job..

  • omg many of you are full of shit ... you talk crap about a very good video ... good work man

  • what is that guitar?

  • IBANEZ RG1570

  • @YaFimovich

    i guess ibanez....

  • all satriani's coverers use ibanez :P

  • All Good Guitarists use ibanez ! ...&...

  • Yep, +1

    Steve and Joe rulez!

  • love it. not so sure about the wrist flip, tho -- it sounds great. no need to flash the visuals

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • PERFECT!!

  • Very well done, a hard song to play.

  • very nice but maybe too fast. Good job!

  • yeah dude you can play like this or even better ( in your opinion ) as you devlop your stle it doesnt matter oin skills

and you want to learn thi song to good finger picking

  • i found it really impressive. i have been searchin this song since 8 years i finally got it.. great job!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you play it COMPLETELY different to me, yet somehow they sound EXACLY the same. xD

  • after only a year of practicing guitar, you can easily play like this

  • Depending on how much practice you do. I know a kid practices like 4 hours or more a day and played devils slide in months but i also know kids that have been playing for years and wouldn't even try it.

  • WOW, that was really good ^^. what guitar are you using? it looks like a S series to me. i think u got it down, it's just your tempo. but other than that it was really good.

  • No one here is mentioning that he's playing with an open tuning! Or some kind of alternate tuning slightly off of standard tuning. I'm not sure what the tuning is though but it has to be something to compliment the key of A or Amin. Because the song is in the key of Amin. If you could tell us "bahec700" that would rock!!!

  • I have no idea what you are talking about :) The original is in Am, I also play it in Am using standard EBGDAE tuning.

  • @ih8theismyo lolz fail

  • technically may be accurate but sounds somewhat flat and feelingless

  • It's good but you need to work a bit with the tempo if you want to play exactly as satriani

  • Hey. i love ur vid!!! the way u play that song is awesome. could u please make a tutorial video? please please please please!!! please!!!

  • 5/5 very nicely played:) is there any vid's of joe playing this live?:)

  • nice fingering....but 0.45 O.o

    that position is weird...too weird...

  • thanks for this video. your fingering works better than another popular version floating around out there on youtube. the chord changes are much easier and faster with this fingering.

  • Nice piece dude. Like the over the neck chording.

  • He's not playing it wrong. The sheet music lists the rhythm as being 8th notes. Satch plays it loosely to this so it's up for individual interpretation. Good job on this :).

  • He can play the chords, but there's no feeling in his playing, no passion, just empty,

  • sorry but, in my opinion, he can perform a song like he wants...the feelings are his...and you can't judge the way he feels...

  • man no feelings a little harsh. hes definatly not playing w/ satrianis level of passion but its definatley there.

  • wooow the best video I've found looking for tears in the rain ;D

  • posser ! :p nice playnig!

  • Love the song just put it to a suitable video!

    :) x 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

  • dude-get a gibson- you deserve it

  • He has an Ibanez!

  • xdd

  • aint saying my versions all great...but whats with the different tuning....any particular reason for using it?

  • what do you mean by "different tuning"? I use standard tuning.

  • beautiful song...

  • i thought you were more of a technical guitarist when i watched your crowd chant jam and you have proven it by mastering a great melodic tune from satch himself

  • play it slower

  • IHAUISh Foi fazer graça e errou!

  • We have the same taste in guitars, nice. Well played.

  • damn put some feeling into it im mean yea you played it alright but theres no emotion ur just playin it :/

  • i felt the...or didnt feel....the same thing u did..

theres no...feel!! in the music wen he played it

  • nice, now i have a song to practice, but you make it look easy so i hope with a few tries it will be easy and look easy with me

  • there's a little bit you've got wrong with the fingering and the tune, try learnin it on an acoustic then move on to electric....maybe some reverb? and i agree with what eackermans said about feeling.

  • best rendition ive heard so far.

pretty hard to song to play

even harder to pick up by

    well done

  • awesome finger picking on electric guitar^^

  • good song but your rendition has no heart. sounds like a MIDI file GuitarPro would generate

still, better than my playing so who am I to judge?

  • Slow dude,Too rushed and to mechanical...like the other guy said" feel the music" and it will work like towards the end of your song.

  • more feeling... you r playing for playing, you dont feel the music

  • thank you for telling me what I feel :)

  • well played man, you did it some justice :P

  • la sesta corda è un po skordatella e poi ha sbagliato qnd ha ftt quella kazzata cn il palmo della mano sinistra sulla tastiera x riprendere si è dovuto fermare voto: 4/10

  • thank you! couldn't have put it better myself... :-)

  • hey, what are the tabs for this? think you could send'em?

  • I didn't have any tabs, but they should be easy to find online...

  • same notes, wrong dynamic..

  • ever thinking hes playing with other scales?

  • ok so i seriously cant find this tab ANYWHERE >:( driving me insane, ive been tryin to see your hands.. but at that angle i cant see a thing on what fret what finger is on.. throw a fellow guitar player a bone.. woulda ya?

  • go to you tube channel justinsandercoesongs he teaches it amazingly well with explanations and finger positions he also has a channel..justinsandercoe which is just lessons

  • are these the same for ele? cuz i wasnt sure o.0

  • despite the hand flip, which was fine, i dont see what the big deal was about it, this was great. rg1570? if so, i have it. the best guitars are Ibanez!

  • does ibanez rg1570 have a good pick-up?

  • well they have ibanez v-8 and v-7 humbuckers, and s-1 single coil in the middle. they are great compared to many other stock pickups, but if you're going to spend the money to get this guitar, spend another $100, more or less, and get some Dimarzio's. (Evolutions, Tone Zone, Superdistortion, etc.)

  • which model of RG has dimarzio pickups?

  • well, the only ones with genuine Dimarzios are the Japanese J-Craft/J-Custom models exclusive to Japan, you can get them on ebay thought. The higher priced RG Prestiges in the $1100- about $1600 range have Ibanez/Dimarzio, its a Dimarzio Designed, kinda like the Duncan Designed ones in Jacksons only its Dimarzio.

  • how do you get that sound?

  • There are piezo pickups in the bridge saddles to create acoustic tone.

  • but how? coil tap?

  • Could be anything, mini-switch, coiltap, extra output. Guessing it's a mini-switch somewhere near the tone-knob. At least, that's how it's on my S Series.

  • imo this doesnt sound like piezo.I thing its switchable humbuckers.

  • yea i think they are humbuckers also.. a friend of mine has a few guitars with hummies and they make the same sound.. for the most part

  • its so much easier to play it on electric than acoustic

  • great performance

  • wats with that hand flip at 0:43

  • Fail is what's with it.

  • is that with the boss acoustic simulator pedal?

  • we share the same liking in guitars... if you picked that.. :) is it rg1550 or some shit.. forgot already :P

  • awsome!

  • rg1570 **

  • great job

  • Top job!

  • this is clean efect ? Chorus? xP Or some acustic symulator? :D

  • it's one the BOSS-GT3 built-in simulators.

  • Bravo!

  • HAHA Show off at 44 seconds!!

  • Suna super profesional.Cred ca interpretul nu poate fi decit compozitorul piesei.....

  • im learnin this, its relatively easy to say its a satriani piece, but in that bit where u play from over the top at 44 secs, WHY????

  • showing off man, just showing off :)

  • no, it's a six string Ibanez RG1570

  • fingering isnt right at some points, but i think your way is easier lol. less stress on the fingers.

  • I think satch would like your version better,it's got alot of extra crap in it, which is the whole point right?

  • muy piola flaco

  • ???

  • I just learned this song and the chords are quite difficult. You did an awesome job and made it look very easy. What kind of amplifier do you use?

  • thanks, yes this song is an excellent practice for smooth transition between chords. This was recorded by pluging the guitar into BOSS-GT3 and pluging the latter to computer's input.

  • is it a fernandes sustainer?

  • I have no idea, the guitar is Ibanez RG1570

  • beautiful so nice & pleasant!!!
