  • sperm

  • looks like an eyeball

  • Hmmm make an optical sensor to hold it and to make it see then u need to make a frame for the mouth and te rest if te body like make te hands out of mabey a putty like substance

  • bloody eye

  • This is easily one of the most interesting things I've seen done with ferrofluid. Have to keep reminding yourself it's not a biological process.

  • Are you trying to give birth to Magneto (X-man)?

  • I was waiting for Ben Stein to give a spot about red, itchy eyes but, this is science and we all know about Ben Stein and science...

  • IT'S STARING AT ME!!!!!!!!

  • looks like an eye

  • looked like an eyeball for a while >.>

  • To me this looks like a very ill eye.

  • Eye of Sauron

  • It's watching you...

  • Looks like a frog egg.

  • it looks like sperm trying to get into the egg.... this turns me on?

  • I remember when I was in my mother's womb fighting thousands of my potential brothers xD hahahahahaha

  • Natural animation.

  • looks like a bunch of sperm cells trying to penetrate an egg

  • It actually looks like an eye! ha. Fascinating experiment ^_^

  • dude that thing looks like eyes. at first.

  • it looks like a really creepy eyeball 1:00 - 1:16

  • It looks like what happens when spermatozoons reach the ovum. Or at least something like that:)

  • it looks like little black tadpole biting on the circle xD

its cute in a way <3

  • Awesome :)

  • 0:41 contact lens?

  • Interesting !

  • creepy....

  • Almost like sperms trying to break through the egg.

  • At 1:19: Clear eyes for dry eyes.

  • this soo could be the entrance of a terror tv show

put creepy music and put red colorant in all droplets then the mass has the black sperms heading towards it and then in slow motion it all becomes an eye cue the show title

  • It looks like an eye....:)

  • Hi there! This is a really fascinating experiment. Could you tell me exactly how you were able to obtain this effect? I understand it involved ferrofluid, a magnet, thinner (pentane), and is that a petri dish? I'd like to try this.

  • That's cool experiment

near the end the scene looks like sunflower.

  • Looks like an eye with black sperm in it

  • I favorited this video because of the music. (The ferrofluid is fascinating too.)

  • looks like sperm on some parts

  • sperm cells attacking the egg.

  • its a time lapse video :)

  • it also looks like some kind of feeding frenzy

  • its an artfull eyeball

  • kinda looked like sperm going to a egg

  • omg exactly what i was thinking tooo XD

  • same here!!! OMG!!!

  • @BloodyNeko12 but they cant get in >:D

  • bwahaha prob cus the birth control x3

  • This is great! I was almost afraid for the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics for a second. :p

  • Yeah, I was thinking perpetual there for a moment.

  • IT'S THE T1000!

  • its a time laps film but how long did it take. how long are we watching?

  • ohh noes the sperms are geting into the egg!

  • looks like sperm trying to fertilize an egg

  • lol exactly what i thought

  • Every video about chemistry and/or physics I've seen since grammar school has this weird synthetizer kind of music in the background that sounds like if it was made by someone intoxicated with a very large dose of LSD. The question is: is it only accident that whenever chemists are involved in making educational videos, the music always sounds so psychedelic?

  • I think in the beginning there was a simple melody in the background, I just did some time lapse, compression and format conversions to optimize the upload, and you tube also has to fit it in. It could not be backwards, at least not the video part, did you check that? :o)

  • @pisseddotcom

Actually I think its from a game called Electroplankton, but I could be mistaken.

  • @pisseddotcom I wonder that too. In Highschool there was a video about fungus that was SOOOO trippy.

  • 0:26 sperm trying to get into an egg

  • Looks like an ovary! Mmm... tasty!

  • this is wonderful! so this is the result of an evaporation and inherent magnetic process?

what are your conclusions? forinstance , no polar substances get together since polar substances water in Fe excludes it?

  • where did you get this coffee? looks like strong arabica shit or somethin

  • what is the thinner?

  • Pentane

  • respect

    cheers from Brazil

  • it's like spearm that wants to get in the egg :D hehe

  • This is one of the best movie on ferrofluid that i have seen!!!

  • WOW Have watched more than three times how long did this all take to film.

    Great footage.

  • So this magnetized (and thereby polarized) fluid appears to behave exactly like a sperm and egg, and even on to cellular reproduction?? that is amazing.

  • sperm and eggs to me as well

  • looks like an eye to me

  • looks like sperm and eggs

  • its the best of self organizing natural process

  • With the end it looks like cell division. Our world is amazingly simple in its basics, but it can't be different, because it works within the same laws of physics.

  • The lid is opened an shut to observe different evaporation rates.

At high evaporation the flow is stronger.

(Maybe that is what you mean.)

  • what happens if u thouch it?

  • you get poisoning...depending on the ferrofluid..this one you probably get iron poisoning along wit something else i cant remember
