I WISH I had a "daily grind". I'd rather be unhappy at work and making some money than being unemployed and worrying about everything.
I'm still able to live on my decent nest egg while going to school, but it's not going to last forever. It's pretty sad when you have to compete with 100 other people just to get the last open spot to work at Burger King. I know a guy who used to manage IT for an entire company, now he's lucky to be flipping burgers.
Maybe if bosses didn't treat their workers like shit, there wouldn't be so much dissatisfaction. I left my job (still kicking myself over it) because my last boss was batshit crazy and make it nearly impossible to actually do my job without her PMSing constantly. It's not always about the money.
I have been saying this for years... It is just that business' these days dont care about their workers just the bottom line. An evil breed of business ethics took over when Bill Clinton took a lot of the rights away from the workers in turn opened up shady ways of doing business at their workers and familys expenses. I remember when making 100% profit was good but these days if they dont make 1000% profit they aren't happy! They have to get back to the family oriented way of doing business.
Americans can't get no JOBS. There ain't no JOBS. America has to work in dead end service JOBS at the lowest rates because there ain't no JOBS. Congress (Republicans & Democrats) shipped our JOBS overseas because Greenspan said 'Fraud was Good' & Tom Friedman said it was good to flaten the American worker. Well Greenspan & Friedman, you missed the point. The American worker makes the economy work. Oh, & you can't tax the unemployed. How far are we from being rounded up & trained to death camps?
