Sadly on April 23rd 2010 Ms. Geralyn passed away. As a former student of hers (in 1995) it is a hard loss to get over. She was so involved with her students, even attending graduations and birthday parties. She was an amazing woman and will be greatly missed!

@yakiburger I hope you can find a pre school classroom with more children reading when they come out of it than Geralyn Dunckelman's. Maybe you should formulate your opinions based on an entire day in her classroom rather than the 2 minutes of this video. I dont know what you want a pre school classroom to consist of, but i would absolutely love to know. Those kids are learning to read. Rest In Peace Geralyn Dunckelman, you are loved and sorely missed.
