My first Basset was poisoned by my evil neighbors! The vet said it was rat poison! I gave him a hug and put him down as he was in my lap. The vet said it was too late to help him... his kidneys had already shut down.
I just adopted a 6 month old girl that was being abused. She is skinny to the point you can see each rib by itself and scared of anything that moves! I pray this family finds peace. That evil neighbor is sitting in prison now for meth making! Karma!

I am bloody angry that this could happen and worse the a***hole who did it walks free. To Becca my sincerest condolences it is very hard to lose a fur buddy particularly like this.
Did he get shot during hunting season out in the woods? I never take my dog hunting. I love him too much. I have a 10 year old Basset Hound and I love Marko to pieces. Your dog is as cute as mine. Barb.

This is VERY UPSETTING to hear and I would just die if anyone ever did anything to my Basset Hounds as they are just the softest dogs ever.
I feel for you and your family as you'll never ever get those those awful sad thoughts from your mind. I hope Babyboy is playing with his Basset friends in Heaven...
