To think I had an idea for an epic 10 part book/series/something with things like the love interest dying right before she is saved, the hero being unable to tell who the main villain is until after he is forced to kill all the other heroes because he thought they were evil, and a single climactic moment in the final part where tiny details from the other 9 parts come together to reveal the hero was only helping the villain the whole time. Now I can throw that all out the window.
