Crowdfunding may be a way to increase influx of capital to small business, however will congress place proper consumer protections?? I think the $1,000 is still too high of a ceiling for non accredited investors (me being one of those non), Don't get me wrong I would love to keep that ceiling personally but for the consumer greater good maybe half of that would be better.

many of them are effectively holding up a lot of money that is out there, along with banks that refuse to lend, this legislation seems somewhat interesting, although typically croundfunding gets you no part of the company

What about all the large companies, ie the Fortune 500 that are on a large capital strike?
