In my opinion Mr Nawaz Sharif, Ms Benazir as well as Mr Pervez Musharraf need to do lot of charitable & social work in Pakistan first. They ought to spend resources from their own pocket for charity/social work amongst ordinary people in Pakistan and the best one out of these earns the right to be Pakistanis' leader. Presently Imran Khan has earned credibility, is a deserving candidate.

I really felt so sorry about Irene Khan when she mentioned that Darfur is the worst case of human rights abuses. What a petty...she has not mentioned the worst human rights abuses in Iraq... Why she has not mentioned about the accupation of Iraq by the US as the height of Human Rights abuse.. She is mentioning about the double standards of the westren countries but she is practicing double standards herself.

Well no doubt in the devastated situation of Iraq, but brother, the darfur is the worst! Imagine, you are in a desert and there is a drought and then people come to kill you without any law enforcing agency to save you!

Yea, you may be right! as you have direct contacts with persons in both Iraq and Sudan. I just established my view on the basis that, I have found people in Irag Able to resist! while in darfur watching a documentary abt it, they werent even able to resist! in fact it occured to me that may be they are begging to be killed! Anyways, the matter of fact that the situation in both areas may be differing in magnitude but is burning!

I don't know about democracy but Nawaz and Benazir sure have restored their youthful looks! Nawaz had his lost hair restored and Benazir perhaps had a facelift? (Women don't tell about such things!) But they're both ready to try their luck again! I don't wish them luck! I want General Musharaf to stay! Democracy works in a country where the majority of people are educated. In Pakistan the illiterate majority are like sheep following any leader who succeeds in exploiting them.
