  • Top Free Games for WP7: Rotate and Roll

Easy to play – Difficult to master – Impossible to put down

Your objective in this fun physics game is to rotate your way through 20 challenging levels. To complete a level, roll your ball guy to the raindrop. Pay attention, as some levels require you to first collect a star in order to activate the exit point. Use the finger on the screen and move it in the desired direction

to rotate the level around. Have fun!

  • the sound at 1:38 scared the shit out of me :x the static lol made me jump xD

  • Hi there, how do you place the unlocked.bin file into the emulator?? Please give me some guidance to make the unlocked version work.. Thank you

  • @123dodgecharger you need to download it from the xda developers site and place it in the images file for the emulator.

  • @farestabs Yea i downloaded and place it into sdk/images .the folder has another bin file which was the locked on from microsoft. So when i start the emulator, i get an error

  • @123dodgecharger you rename it as the bin file microsoft had there and delete the original but if it still works you have a bad bin so get another one. it's just that

  • @farestabs Doesn't work. It gives me an error. The unlocked bin was not corrupted

  • @123dodgecharger Well I don't know what else to tell you.... That's what I did and it worked. You basically trick the emulator into opening the unlocked.bin file instead of the stock one that comes with it. The "trick" is by renaming the unlocked.bin file as the stock one and getting rid of the stock one. That's all there is to it...

  • i thought im giving up windows but and migrate to apple but now i love windows again!

  • I think I speak for all windows developers when I say

    "FUCKIN awsome!!!"

  • I think if you create a nice app on this OS it will *really* stand out

  • It looks so...plain. Coming from a UI designer, this is quite embarrassing.

  • @johnhmeyer123 Clearly not a good UI designer. Functionality should always trump looks.

  • Comment removed

  • @farestabs i think you will need to install it from windows website

  • i want to applaud microsoft for taking a totally different approach with their mobile os. however, i also want to encourage the company not to overlook the phone function of their software, specifically the audio. for many people, including myself, having a phone that makes and receives crystal-clear phone calls are very important. just look at the iphone, including the lastest one. poor audio problems are some the biggest criticism about the phone.

  • @thanggnguyen agree'd, i think microsoft are really turning the tables where they were accused of copying at every turn and be apparently unnoriginal now they come out with a phone operating system that is compleatly different to any other operating system on the market, whilst apple are still using the same ui for their 5th year. sourt of turns the tables a bit. i also agree that this needs to be a good phone and needs to have excellant battery life with a great app store to really compete

  • Where do you get this sdk beta emulator?

  • It looks so lame :( and it took them this long to come up with an iPhone killer Microsoft has a lot more money then apple inc. so they can do better maybe this is not the final product

  • It has changed a lot since it was originally launched. Personally, I like the original look better.

  • It looks terrible boring..

  • wow looks great

  • I would wish they had not used so many dark colors. They use black and white colors all over. I would wish they would use more pastel like solid colors like those found in MeeGo.

  • @Altair8801 You just have to change the Theme...:-)

  • If there's anything I hate about UIs it's when they have no consistency. It's when they have abrupt design consistency interrupts where i.e. you got all these applications and the OS UI that all use the same basic design, the same design language, and when you launch that one particular application and its UI design differs a lot from other applications. It totally ruins the experience for me. So design consistency is a key word here!

  • This GUI definitely has its own style. What I specially like about it is that it is consistent. From design perspective, it speaks its own language. What I mean by that is that the designers have chosen one style and they have used this same style throughout the whole interface. It's original! It's not mimicking iPhone or Android! I respect that!

  • Then again, not everyone may like the fancy UI designs with full blown Hollywood effects. This may seem like a great UI for a serious businessman than for the youngsters.

  • When you use one of those phones, just using the menus is a great fun. You find yourself there just flipping through pages, and Home screens, not even knowing what it was you were supposed to do, what task you were about to perform. But you don't mind, you're having fun just from watching those icons and widgets and what not move around and you're saying "this is fun".

  • This makes the UI a bit stiff and less dynamic. I would guess the feeling from using it would be more serious and task oriented, and less fun and joyful. By task oriented I mean you would just focus on tapping the appropriate buttons and icons to just perform your task, you would just do it and forget it. So the UI certainly fullfills its purpose, obviously. But it's not quite as fun to use as the UI found on iPhone or an Android phone (especially those with HTC Sense and similar UIs).

  • We don't see many visual effects like transparency effect and animations like we find on many smartphones today. Except for the floating effect when you scroll through lists and switch between menues. The colors are all solid and UI elements like icons and menu options use sharp edges. There are no rounded corners like we're familiar with on the iPhone and many Android phones.

  • I know nothing about the performance, reliability, or security in this new Windows Phone OS. But I can tell about the design, the design of the graphical user interface (GUI) which the only thing shown int his video and the only thing you can judge this OS by only looking at this presentation.

  • Looks great, I'm sticking with my Droid hoping Verizon gets a killer W7 phone this fall.

I hope it doesnt force all your Facebook contacts into your phonebook, I hate that.

  • What's up with those noise hisses in this video? It's destroying my expensive AKG headphones. Not cool man! Not cool!

  • YES! It looks like Microsoft will have a winner. Not everyone will like it of course, but if it does everything it's supposed to, and does it well, then that's good enough for me.

  • FUCK! I got scared of the sound at 1:18 :S

  • I can't wait for this phone. It's awesome UI is what we need to mix it up with Apple and Android.

  • @yasir25119918

its a nice UI. just because it isnt the same 4x4 grid of icons doesnt make it horrible, idiot.

  • @LightCan Stop calling people idiot just for expressing their views about any public video. Grid UI is really innovative and user friendly UI that exists in smart mobile OS's like iOS, android OS. I've the seen WP7 in action via emulator and I can say that Grid ui is far more user friendly then metro ui.

  • another iPhone OS clone, what's new?

  • @flarbton how is it a clone? because it's a touchscreen phone? please, do explain.

  • @flarbton OMG your right, it is the iphone os clone, it has the 4X4 rolls of icon on each page and it slide to the left and right. I must be f##king blind and not see that.

  • @flarbton wow so ur freaking retarded! this is the farthest thing from an iphone clone, the UI is completely different and original. you would have to be an idiot not to see that, or at least an apple fanboy

  • @flarbton iphone is not the first touch based mobile device. this is windows phone 7. it means 1,2,3,4,5,6 other versions have been around longer and this is the 7th edition while yours is still on its 4th. get your priorities straight and have Steve fix your broken antenna.

  • This is a very good apportunity for .Net developpers to get ahead of this wave. And trus me, It will be a BIG wave. Just thing all of the Iphone app you can recreate for this new platform in a fraction of time it take's on the Iphone platform. BTW DevTeach is the first organisation to provide a Bootcamp on Windows Phone 7 in Canada. Do not miss this chance.

  • best mobile phone ever, if only for the metro UI.

  • This OS would be great if it ain't too bad a pie smells garden kitchener with which crafts of less than the more of expectancy this sense no make!

  • this is nice, its not as easy as the iphone 4 but its not as complicated as android. its right in the middle and im glad that they are requiring specs for these phone so the user doesn't get screwed!

  • @CubanLUVash IOS is more obvious compared to Android - but they are both just variations of each other and any other icon based interface. WP7 probably appears more 'difficult' solely because it something new, there isn't anything like it at the moment.
