I use FSX only, when I see X-Planes videos I see that the is one big fake, Planes are wierd resolution in the ground is bad and the panels of the planes are not very detaild like in FSX.
@peacerock94 FSX is a game, not a simulator. Sims aren't about the plane looking pretty from 10 miles away. And about the panels, most of the aircraft in x-plane are made by random fans, not the developers. Which allows you much more freedom in what you want to fly. In FS2000 there wasn't a chance in hell that I could make my own plane, in X-Plane 9 I whipped up a UAV in about an hour.
Not impressed, the planes look really weird, looks like people made a big deal out of something that really isn't all that good. I don't see the difference between the two, I've tried the X-Plane demo, and also wasn't impressed, it looked too complicated and the mouse yoke or joy stick didn't work well either, and like I said the planes look weird and fake... (even though I know they are :]) I'll stick to FSX
@Caffe95 a quad core ! wow, that handles it pretty well ! i have been saving for a long time for a new pc just for xplane, i now have enough money and am gonna buy the parts soon ! thanks, i'm either gonna get an AMD phenom ii 1090t X6 ( six core @3.6GHz ) or an intel i7 quad core ( @3.33GHz ) , i dont know which one :(
@0oCrimsono0 well it's hard to choose, however I would recommend you AMD (6 cores) because the last games are now products to exploit multiple cores and six cores is always better than a 4 cores
Great video ! I love FSX but I love X-Plane more. i'm always making videos for FSX because it looks pretty but when I need to practise my flying skills I go for X-Plane because it really gives you the feel that you are in the air.
@HDOnlive yes, the same for me. X plane is better for flight dinamics ( blade theory ) but FSX has an amazing graphic... My advice is to play both simulator
Let's not be misleading, there is only one airport with detailed 3Dscenery by default. The rest must be downloaded and installed separately, and many of those are just converted FS2004/FSX scenery.
@tf51d yes, but you get airports with better graphics than fsx/fs2004 scenery and it's very EASY and QUICK to get all of them for free from x-plane.org ;)
@Caffe95 Thanks I needed a laugh today!!! X-Plane default scenery is a mix bag, the Mountain areas are nice but the urban areas are just horrible, and too generic. The 3rd party airports aren't bad, but don't hold a candle to what is available for FSX or FS2004 for that matter. Check out my videos to see what you are missing!!!
@tf51d I'm happy that you have laughed today for my video. I have a question for you: do you think that a flight simulator needs better grafics and flight dinamics orrible (FSX FS9), or a smaller graphic but with realistic flight dinamics where you can simulate the real and learn something about flight? (X Plane). Read under "Flight model" in Wiki writing X plane . Thanks ;) sorry for english i'm italian
@Caffe95 One I didn't laugh at your video, only your comment about the airport scenery. With the capability of 7cm resolution, graphics are not a problem for FSX. As for X-Plane's superior flight dynamics, don't buy into the hype, unless you think doing snap rolls in a 737 like the X737 at 5000ft and almost instantaneously recover is realistic .

@tf51d There are a few payware models like the MU-2 that do have very good flight model, all are GA aircraft. The CRJ-200 project was the best chance for an airliner, but it looks like that was canceled, or at least significantly delayed. There is a 747 project that shows promise, but time will tell. On the FSX side you have the Real Air models, A2A Accusim models and other GA developer models, that have excellent flight models.
@tf51d Having flown on a real Mustang, I can tell you the A2A model is right on the numbers. On the airliner side, there is of course the Level-D 767-300ER, the PMDG aircraft, Quality Wing 757 and a few others. All have very accurate flight models, within the limits of a desktop simulator.
@tf51d Maybe you're right, anyway, in a few months will be released x-Plane 10. Is said it will be even better than of FSX and FS9. After all, my video does not specify that x plane 9 is the best, but X-Plane (all versions including the tenth) is defined as the best flight simulator on the market. Anyway, everyone is free to think as he wishes
@Caffe95 On that we'll have to agree to disagree. What makes a good simulator, isn't just that you can simulate the plane, but can create a believable realistic environment to fly in. With AI limited to 20 aircraft and no real ATC X-Plane just doesn't do it. While improved ATC is promised in X-Plane-10, all indications are it still will be limited in the amount of AI to 20. Right now FSX has overall the best graphics, and capability to make them better, and an immersive environment to fly in.
@tf51d ... with actual real world levels of AI and a ATC system to control them, granted it could be better, but there are utilities and 3rd party options to improve even that. Check out my latest video which is a full flight gate to gate. Warning it's 1:40:00 long.
@tf51d I unleashed a war that I can not stand ... thanks for commenting my video many times. I saw your videos and they are beautiful. Anyway I think I will not switch from x plane to FSX because I believe in his potential and will always defend it.
Description: This video shows the WORST flight simulator ever made:

@peacerock94 ok. let's download some plane like x737 or xplanefreewareproject and weather textures like rex. then comment this vid
