I definitely agree with "it's more than just the final result" concept. There have been many times where I'm in the mall, having my makeup done, and the MUA will make a comment "oh you have a lot of undereye circles!" or make me feel somehow insecure. It makes me want to run in the opposite direction!

Makeup is a very personal topic in that sense and it's really important to have a MUA who is sensitive.

One of the first makeup books I bought was Eve's book and was happily amazed to see real people in it instead of models! Eve and her mother both bare there faces to the world.
