    If you read carefully, my warning was about the jerking part of the "stretching." Jerking is, by definition, a sudden, sharp movement. One would not know, until too late, that it was a movement that resulted in injury.

  • She has people jerk their shoulders back in her second stretch. This is a very good way to lead to rotator cuff injuries. the tendons are twisted into an abnormal position with this activity and applying sudden stretch by jerking is a great way to cause micro-tears. Micro tears result in scar tissue. In 30-40 years , this woman is going to have shoulder problems.

    DO NOT EVER APPLY SUDDEN MOVEMENTS WHEN YOU ARE HOLDING ANY JOINT IN A STRESSED POSITION!
