@scylla uh days, i usually do it over the span of a week, not really focusing on it too too much. i do it while i am watching movies. so maybe three moves worth :)
@nicoleisthenewblack hi nicole, i have sister locs and i maintain locs too. As for the frizzy, unrulely, stray hairs: inside the sisterloc world at the salon they do what is called a 'grooming' where you actually take a pair of scissors and snip those hairs. it will really clean up the look.
@rsoftlips really, i dont think i like the sound of that :) people always wanted to groom my traditional locs and it just made me nervous. i use scissors to seperate locs that fuse together but that is about it. i have tried triming the ends. that is okay. but the hair in between my locs are gonna stay where they are haha

@nicoleisthenewblack I love mine, got it when it first came out and we always play Dance central and the adventure games! My sister is a super curvy chick and she does not like going to the gym but will always work out on the Kinect.
@nicoleisthenewblack My consultant would always do a little maintenance here and there. Trim some locs with unattractive ends, not much just a little. I do it myself now.
Congratz on your new man. Are you styling your hair at all or just really letting it do whatever it wants to do? I have 536 locs and it is a beast to curl. I always end up with a head full of curlers and still have hair left over to curl w/ no room. I gave up about a month ago on mine. So if you got some tips or tricks to make this hair look like something... lemme know while your filling us in on your new beau ;-}
@jhall2033 oh the man is not new:) i think i was talking about him alot because we just spent the weekend together. i have tried curling them. it works out okay, i start at the back first. the top is the most dense for me and gives me the most difficulties, what kind of roller are you using, i have only used perm rods and soft spikes those are flexible and not too bad when trying to get alot in a small area. how many are you putting on one roller?
@nicoleisthenewblack I have those pink perm rods and I've been putting about 10 or so on 1 rod. If I put more in the rod, it seems like it takes 2 day to get it to dry. I use to be able to go to bed & in the morning I would be good....not no mo. It's to hot in Texas to be playing around with a dryers (they are of the devil). And on top of that, my head sweats. So the curls only last for about 2 days. I did try the look look you did for your friends wedding. Very cute, but

@1Sharkmom oh too late for that, i have been combining since i came home for the stylist. i have no patience for this. LOL the locs i admired when i decided to sisterlock must have been from people with much less than i do, cause what i have going in was not my desired commitment. haha

btw, if you cut 1 lock from your 2-headed dragons I don't think you can tell the difference; you will still have a full head of hair. when I use to have locks, the ones I combined after they matured never really combined. I was able to take them out in the end.
@themukisa11 dewdrop had a different experience when cutting, it really cut down on the volume. my traditional locs were also thick and had less volume and were only super full when i curled them. i am not going to cut for a while anyways cause i want them to grow as one for a while
