Ah, the thickness of the radius....that's where I went wrong. I was trying to divide by the length-widthy-ness of the radius.

@keeganhuete17 Like you wouldn't believe, but it works a lot better if you do it both directions. An oval rut is great too, that way you can get used to those hooks that have a nasty bite.

@keeganhuete17 You can take a shovel or bobcat and carve a little wall out, then ride it a lot. Or you can take a quad and hold the front brake then do a burnout and drag it around in the shape you want. You'll have two ruts with that method. Douse it with water and ride it a lot.

Cubic mate. It's a volumetric measurement of the area of the diameter, and the height divided by the thickness of the radius.

Best way to work out a circle rut, is to get a piece of rope, find the half way point on the rope. and it'll be double that length.
