wile the cuda dev tools are nice, the ATI cards have a substantial lead in raw processing power, plus better driver compatibility with linux. So if your building a system designed purely for hash cracking your better off with ATI/AMD GPU's (6990 i believe can preform around 760 million hashs a second compaired to nvidia's GTX590 that can only do about 190 million hashs a second.) If the primary function is a gaming rig stick with the nvidia's.

@logistix111 Stupid kids and their exadurations. Also, just because a PS3's GPU can output more high quality graphics than a PC, doesn't necceserily mean it will compute more hashes than a PC's GPU. If this makes no sense at all to you, you don't belong here.

@logistix111 I do not believe there to be a way to "link" PS3's together and harness the combined power, however this is not my area of expertise, so please provide a reference to an article about this. I could not ever imagine sony would create a console with the ability for more consoles to be added on to gain more performance. Ofc, with physical manipulation this would be possible, but then the objects are no longer PS3's. Either way, proof please: company name, url, + refrences to multi-ps3s

There's a bootable password cracker for windows that just removes the password in a couple seconds doesn't take figuring out rainbow tables or anything. Forgot the name of it though.
