I might like the performance, it it is still the case that none of the great composers wrote for the solo double bass.

thus music is empty virtuosity of the kind that I have always disliked.

Yes, Ibragimov plays as you would expect, but those of us bass players (yes I am one too) who want to do solo are limited IMO by the lack of quality pieces by major composers.
