Beautiful, thanks for posting this. The song has many personal meanings for me from 14 years of living in Quebec, perceptions of the indigenous people, contact with DOFASCO (the Dominion Foundary and Steel Company mentioned in the song) hard grinding work, defeat, depression, lovers and love, aging towards the furnace. @custardflan Yeah, but Emmy Lou really made it her own. Just like All Along the Watchtower. I recall Bob Dylan saying that when he heard Jimi's take on it he knew the song would be Jimi's forever after.

@leofarnley cd - Wrecking Ball, which is totally amazing, she does Neil Young, Hendrix, McGarrigles, you name it, and all with an other worldy grace - produced by Daniel Lanois - absolutely must have if you like Emmy.
