  • Wow! :3 Hermoso!!

  • Mort de rire à 2:12 !!:D Bravo tu joues super bien (:

  • that doesn't sound like the original

  • Me cagas!!!

  • soooo difficult to play

  • Not bad. Not bad at all.

  • GREAT :o)

  • I definitely agree with the first comment, saying you're a great pianist. You make us feel every single note from the very inside of us, and it's just beautiful. Also, I laughed at 2:12? it was totally awesome! :) Keep playing so well. Greetings from France.

  • Incredible...

  • ... the best Tiersen player on youtube is DaveThomas ... if you close ur eyes when ur listening Dave... its just the same hands or is the real Yann Tiersen.

  • how is this physically possible... respect man

  • I think he was born with a piano

  • I like him when he just throw away the notes. Awesome guy!

  • 1:09 Hahaha, not really necessary :D

  • your just like FUCK YOU SHEETS!!

  • you don't read the sheets anyway. because this is the live version and you're playing some parts wrong. so throw them away!

    i love your soul btw.

  • too fast the last part... but great

  • Beautiful piece of music. Thankyou for sharing

  • Hello,

    very good and most beautiful!

I also play it and I have the original music sheet from Yann Tiersen (his sheet book 2010!) but the last two pages are different and I prefer YOUR version. If you have any partitions could you give me a link? Thanks!!!

  • @vic3118 Hello!!! I have some transcriptions about L'absente if you want I can share it with you, I'll send my e-mail in a message inbox, I like Yann Tiersen's music so much!!! =)

  • good job.. funny :)

  • I don't know what I loved most, the skills or the sheet throwing. Awesome job man !

  • poor cheets :_(

  • you`re a little too fast

  • wow you got excited haha

  • Awesome playing! people that bitch about the sheet music throw-down are robots. who cares!

  • @dan8852 robots? lol

  • @MDkid1 Specifically, Cyborgs.

  • @dan8852 lol...well they're not of this world thats for sure....that music throw down was the bomb!

  • I liked it at 2:12 :D

  • spasst

  • Yeah! I really like it! Jste vážně úžasnej, neskutečné. Zrovna se jí učím, ale takhle to tedy v životě nezahraju. Jste dobrej, máte můj obdiv:)

  • hey, dont hit the sheets!

  • love that passion throwing the notes away at 2:10!!!

    nicely played, beautiful song!!!!!

  • personally, for me, 2:12 ruined it.

  • I agree, maybe 2:12 wasn't necessary BUT this is 'your' version and it did give me a chuckle, too! ^^

This is the best version I see here on YouTube so far!

  • The adjustments bother me. You're a good otherwise.

  • you should name it " cover Yann tiersen - L´absente" you don´t practice accents and also tempo isn´t as in original, so you can´t name it as original...

  • Geetings from chile!!!!

    felicidades :)

  • this is beautiful.

  • Great.. Speed is good, but in the last part, the timing gone. As in: everything -pretty much- the same speed. And it's this timing that makes the last part interesting imo. In the original there is also a very notable difference in timing between de last part, with sustain pedal and the part before it. Also the notes that have "accent" (played with more force) are gone in your performance.

You could easily add more timing and accent, because your speed is great with soft keystrokes..

  • man this is AMAZING i wish my fingers were that fast 0_0

  • excellent

  • connard

  • Good job, dude! 5+

  • yehaa i like hyperspeed

  • Man....you dont need to smoke poor grass :D

  • Throwing papers away: PRICELESS

  • this song is so difficult¡¡¡

  • it`s out of tempo man!

  • @alejandrappp No, it's quite good tempo all along the song!

  • Wow!! en el minuto 2:12 le pusiste toda la personalidad!!! 5 estrellas por eso!!

  • Piano Master!

  • did u play in underwear? lol:)

  • no waay, you're a genius!!

  • i loved it... it's not the original version, i'm right?

  • yann tiersen sheet music is all over the internet just search on google.....

  • 02:12 i saw what yew did thar...it made me ROFL :D you're amazing! good stuff :]

  • Karazh you are a fucking faggot. How dare you insult such a wonderful composer. This guy played his own rendition L'Absente and did great. I suggest you GTFO.

  • Wow, great job! I love your emotion! It adds so much to the piece and I really wish more people would put as much effort into their playing. On a side note though, much of your sheet music is

different from the original. Who transcribed yours?

  • Замечательно!

  • hey mate, it was excellent

could you please pass me the music sheet? I have more than 60 original music sheets from yann tiersen but Im missing that one. Let me know if you're looking for one to give it to you.I can send you all if you want.

  • NICE!! =)

Please tell me where u got the notes

  • wow... all these people still posting negative things.

    look man... i love it.

you made my eyes go wide.

    seriously.

  • Your playing is really good :D in the fast part (the last part) you only could play the left hand a bit louder, so that its dynamic comes through. - Maybe your camera can't record this dark tunes, but think it would be better, if you would play the left hand a bit louder and in the short part befor this, you should hold your hand a bit longer, it sounds as someone has cut off the sound.

Know your vid is "old" and actually I think you can play it better now, but maybe it helps other too.

  • im sorry, i like the music but that Piano sounds horrible :O

  • I think so too.

  • Paschenback youre a bitch... 1. Afro isnt an english word du alter pisser and 2. i bet youve never seen a piano in real :)

  • xDDD Paschenback youre a bitch man -.- 1. Afro isnt an englisch word du alter hurensohn, and 2. i bet youve never seen a piano in real :)

  • Nice Afro.

  • how to play the last part fluently?

  • LOL nice

  • =DD!!!!!

  • The last part is the sort of stuff that gives you RSI

  • I heard it again.

The ryhtm at the beginning is bad, you don't play some notes, it's slower.

The part at 2:12 is well played.

But if you tune your piano, we could here the stakkato better.

  • oh i can't belive it, have you ever listen how do you play piano? He feels the music and he shows you his feelings.

  • Learn to spell.

  • You're amazing...

I should really take lessons again... :-(

  • A bit too fast, but well played.

  • i wish you'd put more stuff up you are the best tiersen player on youtube, better than dave flame away.

  • Love the fast ending. Does anyone know what piano grade this piece is?

  • I'm not sure but i think 4th or 5th grade i learned it fast but i'm still learning the end i think you just have to practise for this music

  • i like what you did at 2:12

  • Genio!!

  • THE BEST PLAYED ON YOU TUBE.... for long!!!!!!

  • are you kidding me??

  • This is really good, you are a great Tiersen player, one of the best I have seen on youtube, you made me laugh at 2:12 too, cheers.

  • hahah yeah me too!!! I didnt expect that 2:12, it was fantastic though, well well played

  • Does anyone have the sheet for this with clear pedal markings so I know when to use the sustain pedal?

  • Wow! I loved your playing!

  • Wow man...relax!

  • are u sure thats the real paper ?

  • well played! Could you tell me where to find the sheets? I really want to play this song. Thanks so much

  • 2:12 WTF? It was not necessary!!!

  • xDDDDDDDDDD

  • @justyole aaaaahhhhahahahahahaaaaaa

  • @justyole RIGHT!

  • Muy teatral lo de apartar las hojas de un manotazo, pero muy forzado, de cualquier manera tocas muy bien, enhorabuena

  • great technique, fantastic piece!

  • Lovely song, Does anyone know where to get the sheet music for it? Cant find anything searching online, apart from his Rue De Cascade Volumes

  • Very good, I liked when you push the papers XD

  • it's not jus music it's even show haha

  • that was amazing~!

but when he pushed the papers away...it was a bit weird and dramatic....

    other than that, bravo!

  • weird and dramatic will make you remember it, beyond the technique, he's a good performer.

i bet you wont forget this piece because of the drama.

  • Bravo ! I have listened your version so many times.

    Really well played.

  • love this piece, was wondering where you got the sheet music as i can't find it anywhere? It'd be brilliant if you could help

  • Yes I would also love to know where to get the sheet music for this piece.

    Excellently played.

  • Too bad the Piano was so shiny, didn't need to see all that.. that.. moving..

But the music was just great

  • one can see, that you like the song - am I wrong or did you advance it at some points? however, a unique presentation, the best one I've seen so far on youtube...

  • franchement, magnifique, mais c'est dommage que tu fasse une mise en scène tellement ridicule, ca enlève toute la beauté du morceau

  • magnefique

  • bravo!

  • Great! nice speed!! I liked it but just one thing, slow down the end, I think it would be perfect then.

  • I just went through three Absente video before yours, finally a TUNED PIANO !

  • This song strikes me as particularly strange. I have to be honest about it. I do love it, but it is, in some way or another, different from the other Tiersen songs. And the problem is, I can't put my finger on the issue. I can't figure out what is different about it. Could just be weird ol' me.

You gave it a perfect presentation of course.

  • I think it's a matter of the rhythm, that off-beat thing he has going on.

  • marvelous!!

  • thank you very much

  • great playing, thx!

Jsem hrdý, že máme někoho takového i u nás.

  • To jsou možná příliš velký slova...ale děkuju moc!

  • WOW! Smazing. Love thatyou throw away the papers at the climax! You're way better than I am. Could you check my video's out?

  • what's up with the smashing papersz??

  • Jaime vrm quand tu lances tes partitions a la fin!!!

  • Very good, but you're completly ridiculous!

  • I think you are completly right!

  • very good playing man, this is the best version so far. Keep it up, I expect more videos!

  • Veyr nicely played :P i looked at other l'absentes on youtube and our my favorite so far ^ ^ an di see you have added some touches to the msuic of your own too no?

  • this is awsome I loved you're playing so much feeling and I loved how it got slow at times and really soft WOW just amazing , great playing man.

  • thank you very much.

got 6 pieces recorded so far and as long as anything unpredictable won't happen I will add some more in about 2 weeks.

  • :)sometimes something for the spectators. however it was based on such conditions - on the board, I could have placed only 3 sheets of total 6 so that last part was played by heart anyway:)
