I think it's actually "Monty", not "Monte", short for "Montgomery", as in Field Marshall Montgomery. That makes more sense, in post-WWII America. Monty was world-famous, and would have been a stereotypical name for use in a cartoon. That is, of course, unless WB's own documentation lists him as "Monte".

@littlebit19801 That IS a weird scene. The only one I can think of that is somewhat close to that involves a quail father and daughter. The father spends the entire cartoon chasing a worm and when he finally catches it, the daughter cries that she can't eat the worm because he looks like Frank Sinatra. Maybe that's the one you're thinking of. I believe the cartoon is posted on youtube. Type in "Quentin Quail" for the cartoon
