  • @yoshy713 WOW I Hate Idiotic People that think they are hilarious.......

  • Now this is wat you call singing

  • i'm 32 years old and these guys are one of my all time favorite groups. performers nowadays could learn a lot from these guys. these guys had style and class, they just don't make 'em like this anymore.

  • This is the real music

  • I love the Temptations. I love this song!! I always think of my wife when I hear this song.

  • i so love dis song

  • WIKID!!!

  • I love you David Ruffin and Eddie Kendrick forever.

  • try to see the sun so you feel wat the sun shine is?

  • try to see the sun so you feel wat the sun shine is?

  • I saw this when it first aired on tv, Shindig was broadcast on Wednesday nights, The Original Temptations was such a wonderful act, an amazing singing group, I also was fortunate to see them perform live several times, what an amazing experience. Politics was all screwed up then, but the music of that era was heaven sent, the music did bring about positive changes.

  • @MrCsmall what was it like to see them live did they sound like their records and was their timing on the steps incredible as it looks in the videos i am so jealous LOL

  • @tderrell7 The Temptations sounded better than their records live, because you could really hear the background vocals, on 45rpms, & vinyl, you hear the backing vocals better than the remixed digital cds, no lip sync, great live band, The Temptations' show was very tight. Also, Eddie,Paul,David. Melvin were the best lead vocalists, especially Eddie.Choreography was better with the original Temptations.

  • @MrCsmall The original temptations were eddie, paul, melvin, otis, and al

  • @tderrell7 Also, The Temptations created their own backing vocals on all of their songs,Smokey Robinson said that.Back then, singing groups ,& musicians learned how to perform all styles & genres of music. All the Motown groups could perform jazz pop standards, blues gospel, country, as well as their own hit recordings.

  • @MrCsmall Lol. Yep,we may be old now..But,we were blessed!! Little did i know how blessed..David gave me his cufflinks after a show..

  • @jous1rufn xD thats so cool foreal, your a lucky person.

  • na....Daivd Ruffian was a little prick dude....im not gonna lie, so, he tried to make them his group...come on now

  • Fantastic !

  • this is the song

  • This man is the LOVE OF MY LIFE, THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER DAVID RUFFIN THERE IS NO COMPARISON

  • @lovealwaysdavid Did you know him?

  • que cancion tan bonita y el video original muchas gracias por compartirlo felicidades

  • i got the month of may man

  • Cool as fook !

  • nice style

  • Endless Temptations.

    Grazie, Fausto

  • These dudes are the best group ever

  • how come so many gifted people dont respect their gifts.........I`m upset that Eddie did`nt love his talent enough to stop smoking......what singer smokes cigarettes........that`s insane

  • r kelly smokes cigar so does mer. biggs david ruffin smoked ciggs are you dumb

  • @premedog

You have to put Eddie in context. In the 1960s, alot of physicians smoked, because it was considered cool. So did movie starts. The dangers of smoking were not well-known then either.

  • @premedog most people smoked back then. I smoke. I know it's bad for you, but it's a hard habit to kick, especially when you enjoy it so much. Like I said, I know it's bad for you, but I think this whole cigarette nazi mentally is too much.

  • people know cigarettes are bad but they enjoy smoking.there`s no logic in that.every time u smoke you damage all your organs and take time off your life.sometimes I fee like I have more love for smokers than they have for themselves. If that makes me a nazi......so be it

  • @premedog I wasn't calling you a cigarette nazi, I was talking about American society in general. But you did say that, "people know cigarettes are bad but they enjoy smoking...there's no logic in that". People do a lot of things that are not good for them like drinking too much or eating fast food, but they do it because they enjoy it. There has to be some fun in life. If you're poor, which I am, it's hard to find much that is enjoyable.

  • @raveonsteviewoo thats my point cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, unhealthy foods people find enjoyment in these activities, but the enjoyment is false, but the damage that is done to your lungs and liver and kidneys lead to real agony and pain.I`m poor too"financially" but rich in spirit.May the sun shine a smile your way............hope that line help make your day.......peace & blessings

  • @premedog ох, браза, я тоже уже все сдолбил.

  • This recording wherever you got it from sounds really pure. Wonderful sound

  • They just dont do em like this anymore. Why did talking fast (rap) overcome THIS?

  • and I felt out of my time being 32......just think if they had internet back then???

  • Hey Tony in England there were no problems

with black people among the working class, in the sixties in fact we were inspired by reggae and Motown and Otis and all that and all the black guys we knew in Manchester were just great, and in Longsight

and Moss Side if you local there was never a problem. No ball of confusion going in in and the number one idol was Cassius Clay - Ali of course. Black culture is very strong in England and much admired by all.

  • i like david rufffe u gotta seeee the movie its great

  • Comment removed

  • @dizzydjc87 word

  • One word HANDSOME

  • YOU GOT THAT RIGHT!

  • the classic 5 in their prime!

  • Yet another David Ruffin "Masterpiece"

that will forever be loved and cherished.

There is NOBODY that could come close

to the delivery he gave a song.

  • hey! check out and join my motown group please!!

  • Where do we get info on it?

  • Words of a gentleman, Tonycozart- Classic work like this touches the heart. Greetings from Scotland

  • David made this song his own. I can't hear another version of it without pointing out how much better Mr. Ruffin sang it. He is the best Singer/Dancer ever!!!

  • i don't get it did they sing without mikes?

  • yea that show how good he can sing

  • The movie, " The Temptations", there is reference to ropes that divided the white from the black dancers.

MY POINT IS: MOTOWN, and The Temptations, was LOVED and ADORED BY WHITE AND BLACK. THIS WAS A PART OF OVERCOMING RACIAL BARRIERS IN SOCIETY.

    .

When they came on the radio, your world

was uplifited into a higher plain.....it was

some kinda' wonderful!!!! And guess what? It still IS!!!!! I LOVE DAVID RUFFIN.....he was some kinda' wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 1:20 shows him doing some awesome moves. man could dance and sing.

  • When David was at his BEST, ( age and

    health wise), he was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!

Elvis Presley had nothing on him for my vote. And that friends is from a white female who worked as a runway model.

  • white female model...what does it matter

everyone keeps saying crap like "i love temps and im only 8 and such" so what, your age, race, gender, occupation and childhood shouldnt determine your taste in music. Your a temptations fan and that all that matter. TEMPTATIONS FFW

  • Wow. Take it easy. I think it's cool when people from different races and generations find common ground. I am Black and I remember the 60's. Everything was black or white, young or old. This country was split in so many ways. To hear young people say they dig sounds that came out 40 years before they were born does my heart good. Or to hear a white person say they like something from someone that doesn't look like them, makes me smile. These people are just proud to join with us

  • yeah man i love this stuff im 14

  • They had there pants up, annunciated and they weren't ghetto. And they had more respect, Awesome!

  • man this is what talent looks like. i have always heard about it but never actually SEEN it.

  • i love love love love them!!!!! ((:

  • daviiiiiiiiiiiiid ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuffffffffffffiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnn. girls scream

  • Gotta love David!

    ahahha

  • Esta canción es buenisima!!!!!!!!!!

  • The Temptations eran muy buenos, todas sus canciones.

  • Go back and look at some of New Edition's video's and watch the movements....the earlier ones, when their was a lot of choreograph in the routines.

  • i just wish i could really go back into da 1960's through da 1990's and stay in dat time cuz those yrs seem like da good days

  • these guys own! one of the best groups ever and songs!

    love it

  • hermoso tema=)

    que musica dios mio =D

me hubiera encantado nacer en esos tiempos **

  • Rap sucks, this is real music

  • Yeah. I know. This was when life was good, and people actually had taste.

  • Pretty much after Paul got ill he became depressed and thats why he started drinking. The Temptations was his life and when he knew that it was almost impossible for him to return he thought no other way but the kill himself such a sad story!

  • these brothas are legends!!

  • I luv all the classic 5 and I think Eddie was not one of the better dancers, but at 1:28, he and Melvin are getting it. The temps are so classic, I just love to watch them. And I agree, Otis was lost, but on the other classic My Girl clip he also looks lost. May be he didn't have the confidence that the other guys did at this point. Either way, I luv all the classic 5.

  • these guys are fab! this song always makes me happy

  • you its my idol man /00

  • They were young when they died. Paul 37, David 50, Eddie 52 and Melvin only 53

  • Correction, Paul died at 34 years old and Melvin died at the age of 52.

  • Two for four...lol

  • Hi, johnny12. Yes The Tempts did die young. Paul 34 (born June or July 1939, died August 1973). Mellvin 52 (died before his 53rd birth date).

However thanks to technology the The Tan and Talented Tempts Live On!

  • BEST SONG EVER

  • who's that in the back that looks as if they don't have a clue, I think it's Otis again

  • its about time that you young people see what we all had in the late 50s and 60s

  • Wow...I feel like I have missed out on some of the best music in the world...singing that comes straight form the heart and not form the hormones...I just love these guys........Music today is about sex, cars, bling, and puttin the black man down... I LOVE THE TEMPS FOREVER!!!!!

  • They all look good in their clothes, but i thing David was truly a Fashion Icon back then, see those pencil bottom pants? They have been copied by many an artist(Michael jackson,Prince etc.) I have never seen pants fits so good since david, and the fact that he is slim helps

  • I live in Brazil.Good art doesn't gets older.

  • i made a general statement because of some of the comments i saw about paul being a drunk and david being a drugie, what i meant was that until you have walked in a mans' shoes, dont be so quick to judge. we dont know why paul drank or david did drugs back then, but a lor of people speculated as to why. Maybe with a little guidance and help ffom the right people they might still be alive or maybe it was supposed to happen this way.(fate)

  • Paul didn't get a drinking problem until he fell too ill to continue on the road, and lost his job as choreographer of the group. Get the story straight.

  • sweet voices and we dont hear songs like these anymore - how sad

  • I love it when they say: "My girl! My girl! My giiirl! : D

  • I don't care what they did in their personal lives, i just love them, Eddie was my favourite(so cute), but they all had great voices and moves, for the ones who have passed on, i hope they are still making beautiful music together

  • Did they do something bad in their personal lives..? was it that you meant..?

  • im 14,saw the movie fell in love with them

  • Dude I'm white and I say they rock, I even loved the official movie , they rule.

  • im only 24 and i watch the movie damn they were good i see why my grandmother was crazy for them i wish they were still around

  • best ever no one can touch them

and im talking bout all categories of music

    the temps beat them all!

  • David Ruffin was the voice, though they did great after he left. Ball of confusion, papa/stone, were great too. They were the masters of motown.

  • I watched the dvd last night, I had never realised what a plonker David Ruffin was............talented but a plonker nevertheless!

  • Now that's a handsome group :D

  • o man...yea....

  • best male group ever:)

  • I love them. Its crazy I say love old music and my friends think im talking Boys 2 Men and Madonna. Im like no no im talking about the Temptations(music like that).. They dont know them. I love music like this. If I lived back then I would be one of thoes screaming girls as well.

  • marry me please:)

  • I love them too

  • Esta la escuché en "The wonders years", cuando Kevin se encontraba con Winie.

    Qué nostalgia.

  • the classics right here babe

    gotta love it

  • what do you know about the temptations

  • If I lived back in those days I guarantee I'd be one of those screaming girls in the background:)

    Ahaha, I LOVE Melvin!<3

  • Me too!

  • I DIDN'T care on how they lived their personel lives but what they did on stage & what they gave to the country in the 1960's when the country was fighting racism, and war etc RIP TEMPS

  • they weren't fighting racism they were just talented guys shareing their gift with us they did nothing in civil rights movement

  • This is a very naive view. Five black men in suits singing songs that the whole nation loved, this did nothing for civil rights? Pleaze! Symbolism is very important and powerful.

  • melvins voice is amazing!

  • this makes my favourites list !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yaaay!! *claps* love you temptations!

  • they are of holland arent they?

    they are cool :P

  • Truly an amazing singing group.

  • I can never get enough of the Temptations!

    Great video;-)

  • RIP DAVID RUFFLE

  • what change? interracial taking over america?

  • Although it would make me a whole lot older now, I really wish I'd been a teenager in those days, all those great sounds, all those changes going on. Must've been quite a time.

  • i know me too

  • SIMPLY SAID...THE BEST!!!

  • Ruffin's legendary voice was there up till he passed away. In spite of the drugs/booze, etc. What a great voice! Sorely MISSED! David Ruffin and Levi Stubbs were the greatest male voices Motown had.

  • bonjour je suis un fan français de "The Temptations" and le week end dernier avec mon groupe on as chanté la chanson "My Girl " as un show, venez voir notre video sur mon compte et dite nous ce que vous en pensait et vos conseils aussi a tres bientot et merci pour cette video encore
