Trade unionists fought for decades against capitalism. To the extent that the trade unions aren't effective today, it is because they have gotten in bed with the government and with big business.

For each of these men there were thousands of Ludwig Mullers. Here's a partial list of Christian leaders that gave public and material support to Hitler: Cardinal Bertram, Cardinal Schuster, Helmut Brucker, Walter Buch, Rudolf Buttmann, Dietrich Eckart, Joachim Hossenfelder. The list of Nazi christians goes on for volumes.

The Alberto Rivera series is a good place to begin along with the betrayal, a graphic novel which was about what really lead to slavery the civil war and the assassination of Lincoln. They contain footnotes. You may have to order on Ebay or try gutenberg press to find it.

Trade unionists fought for decades against capitalism. To the extent that the trade unions aren't effective today, it is because they have gotten in bed with the government and with big business.

Europe is capitalist. Any system that doesn't put workers in control of production is far from socialist. And Europe isn't any worse off than the US is.

The argument against was that Washington was descended from royalty, and claiming a crown might vitiate the the Revolution and empower the conservative loyalists in the colonies. It would have created a civil war while giving England an excuse not to withdraw. Not all the founders shared the same beliefs.

Poor people demanding that people who are successful be forced to pay nearly all that they have to go to those who don't work as hard or who don't want to work period. Today we have that. I must work harder and have part of my paycheck taken out to pay for some lazy housing project excrement who sits in bed smoking canibis and crystal meth and not get up to work.

point is I have been poor before, I know what its like. Socialism didn't help me. I had to go through all these hoops, fill out forms, paperwork ETC it took me hours even days! Even case managers couldn't or wouldn't help. Christian charity doesn't do that? If I want to eat a meal at the mission Idon't have to wait for 2 hours in line then fill out 50 pages of forms present 3 forms of ID. ETC After all that I got nothing but lip.

Bottom line, you put government in charge of anything expect failure. I got off the streets because caring compasionate christians with the spirit of God came to my aid. They fed me clothed me aided in finding employment and helped me get into a network.

(the homes no longer exist becuase government regulated them to death. Government wants to monopolize helping the poor so they can fuck everything up) I found it, I got an apartment in Rochester and , that's it. years of depending on government did nothing compared to what a few months with Christians did. I doubt environmental regulations had anything to do with California's food problem. I mean its a desert. Of course stuff like that happens. One solution is using tax money for public works in California to create desalinization plants and new irrigation. But we can't afford it since you're all scared it might cut into record profits!!

@QuatFax I agree with you that Lenin, Stalin, and Mao were not what they claimed, and ultimately betrayed the ideologies of their movements, but they were certainly a kind of socialism. If you criticize Marx-Leninism for not being socialist enough, for not giving worker-collectives control and ownership over the products of their labor, that's a valid Syndicalist argument against State-capitalism, and I agree with you. I wonder if more Tea-baggers knew about Syndicalism if they'd be for it ... ?

Jefferson wrote that the Bible contained "so much ignorance, so much absurdity, so much untruth, charlatanism and imposture, as to pronounce it impossible that such contradictions should have proceeded from the same Being." brilliant vidoe! Indeed the really rich and powerfull probably laugh at their minor competitors who want "smaller government" and less taxes and no state welfare at all. High taxes, minimal welfare and expensive projects that are financing big corporations keep things running, keep us in check and provide minimal stability so we don't revolt.

Under de-centralizing everything, even smaller businesses will have the ability to control the government, causing A LOT of harm against the working people. Paul isn't a "revolutionary". @nhstategop No, our freedom and liberty doesn't come from those on top of us but rather those next to us. No constitution or government gave me my freedom; my freedom comes from the people who fought AGAINST hierarchal and authoritarian systems and institutions (such as capitalism).
