After the GOP didn't keep their side of the deal in 2008 he decided to run for the republican nomination for 2012, rather than tapping into the supporters he garnered in 2008 to run as an independent. I don't think it will matter in the long run. Do people really think after how bad the government/elite went after, for example, the FDA/patent-process to suppress cancer cures that they would not have election's rigged to ensure their continued crusade towards achieving their ultimate goal?
