Every now and then someone copies/plagiarizes/covers/does a tribute/ parody to a song. Does it matter if Disney bought it or stole it or whatever? It's the companies' job to deal with possible copyright issues, not ours. It's quite hard for artists nowadays to be original you know? In terms of "borrowed beats", most pop songs nowadays have relatively generic beats with slightly different variations to one another so it would be unavoidable for some songs to sound as if they have 'copied' the beat off another song.
It's up to the composers who they let use their songs therefore the song belongs to neither Disney nor SM. This is similar to how SHINee's song "Juliette" is exactly the same as Corbin Bleu's "Deal With It" and many fans accuse the other of 'stealing' when actually neither of them 'own' the song but both artists' companies have rights to use it.
um....have you guys not heard SHINee's Love's Way??? That is a completely borrowed beat. When I hear the song they got it from I immediately start singing Love's Way by accident. But it's all good because taking someone else's music is legal if you get the rights to use it. Us Americans do it sooooo very often to each other then we do it internationally and vice versa. In terms of "borrowed beats", most pop songs nowadays have relatively generic beats with slightly different variations to one another so it would be unavoidable for some songs to sound as if they have 'copied' the beat off another song.

It's up to the composers who they let use their songs therefore the song belongs to neither Disney nor SM. This is similar to how SHINee's song "Juliette" is exactly the same as Corbin Bleu's "Deal With It" and many fans accuse the other of 'stealing' when actually neither of them 'own' the song but both artists' companies have rights to use it.

um....have you guys not heard SHINee's Love's Way??? That is a completely borrowed beat. When I hear the song they got it from I immediately start singing Love's Way by accident. But it's all good because taking someone else's music is legal if you get the rights to use it. Us Americans do it sooooo very often to each other then we do it internationally and vice versa.
