  • I really dont like the way she scoops...this is not due to interpretation ...this is simply bad singing...She is a cross over artist who in my view, think they can do whatever they want to a classical piece and sadly they get away with it ...because apparently "its bringing classical music to the masses"...that is fine, but for my taste this is just AWFUL!

  • the way she is singing it is not normal for her range, and I wouldn't ever try to sound so damn low cause it can mess up your voice, but like i said her voice has changed a great deal in the last two years. Of course I have heard her sing that is why I don't understand why she sounds like this because it's terrible. Light lyrics have to be extremely careful in what they sing because it can seriously mess up their voice. I have noticed that she has sung some songs that arent made for her voice.

  • That song isn't that hard to sing and everyone sings it differently

  • you 've got to be kidding!!!!!!

  • Have you ever tried to sing like Sarah Brightman, like on the same key?! It's really hard! You have to have the head voice of a freaking master! I love you Sarah!!!!

  • @ThePokegaga her key isn't that high to begin with, she is a full lyric so she can't sing extremely high like ewa godlewska in farinelli where she sang lascia ch'io pianga and hit at least a f range where sarah brightman can never hit

  • @prettycool997 Actually she is a light lyric soprano. She has said her voice sometimes reaches an F6 although it isn't recorded. If she can sing an E6 in Phantom of the Opera and be the first to pull it off then it is not crazy that she can sing an F6 which is just one tone above that. And the key Sarah Brightman is singing it is it's original key of F Major. This song was written for a counter tennor and sung mainly by counter tennors mezzos and altos. That doesn't mean she can't sing it.

  • @ThePokegaga My understanding is that she is a full lyric, light lyrics have extremely light voices. I don't like the way she is singing it though even if it's meant for a mezzo soprano because malena ernman sings it very naturally and has such a beautiful tone. I have no problem singing this song myself and learned it quite quickly. I am a coloratura and I don't sound anything like the way sarah brightman is singing it and coloraturas have a light voice also.

  • @prettycool997 Well yeah, but this is her interpretation of the piece, which is respectable, there isn't much to go at when talking about the world's biggest selling soprano. lol Her success speaks for itself. If you heard more of her work then you would hear that high range and the reason why she is classified as a light lyric soprano. Her natural isn't so dark, that she makes it darker when singing heavier pieces is another thing.

  • @prettycool997 It may sound low because she is using both her chest and head voice to sing this giving it a darker color yet the notes are there. It is quite difficult... that is why I said you have to be a master of the head voice... to get a sound of mixtures of both the head and chest voice. The pianist for the sopranos at my school says it is a very difficult thing to do, but the best sopranos do it. It is a sign of a mature voice.

  • @ThePokegaga Almirena from rinaldo is a coloratura role. The song wasn't written for a mezzo soprano role. I found the song quite easy to learn and quite easy to sing but then again it isn't meant to be sung in a heavy tone either :D

  • @prettycool997 Rinaldo was a castrato so he had a unusually high range even for a countertenor. Right, but the music can be sung by a mezzo, an alto, a counter tenor, a soprano because in F Major the highest note sung (without improvising) is a concert G, not that high. For Mezzos and Altos the Major is brought down a third making it in the key of Eflat Major, and an concert F is the highest note sung. And it's not really a coloraturea role since the highest note written is no higher than a G.

  • amazing

  • WHAT IS SHE DOING?!!!!!

  • @Muzyk005

Your comment made me LOL as I wondered the same thing!

  • @blackeneddove This performance & comment offends me. She's singing unnaturally

  • @Muzyk005 her voice changed a lot honestly it doesn't sound good any more

  • she' singing faster than the orchestra...

  • @littlexbluebutterfly ..really? haven't noticed, just have ears for Sarah's voice.

  • Una maravillosa interpretación que perdurará por siempre.

  • Thanks for the video. It 's magic.

  • Magníficooo! Estupenda interpretación, realmente hermosaa! Sarah es un ángel encarnado, que voz tan maravillosa! =) me vibran hasta los intestinos cuando la oigo! Espléndidoo!

  • sarah can sing ANYTHING, i don't know why the heck she haven't sing something like agitata da due venti :P

  • cruel!

  • big Sarah fan but she did not pull this one off..... this is a Baroque piece, no need to change it like she did.

    Indeed, a rare video

  • @jcmendezify Who cares if it is Baroque piece. She can do anything she wants, and it is fantastic.

  • @fairchasehunt Agreed !
