I doubt you comment on older videos, but I'd love help if you could give some to me! In my heavily filtered 125 gallon, could I keep: 1 Oscar, 1 Green Terror, 1 Gold Severum (maybe), 1 Firemouth, and 1 Convict?
im sick of people always knocking tanks like this for their crowdedness.. it all depends on how many water changes and general upkeep are made in crowded tanks. just because its, for example, a 50 gallon tank with 15 rift valley cichlids in it doesnt mean they are unhealthy or unhappy.
nice tank man, looks like they're all happy and well taken care of
@ricecracker604 mmm not sure about the crowdedness in terms of waste, but in aggression. Not to sure on what other people are thinkin though sometimes. But i agree how people just get on here to tell people stupid stuff like that!
Thanks for your valued input :P The video is a year old and most of the stock has been sold off or in a pond outside. This is mainly a grow out tank for me to observe breeding stock.
@inkpassion- what kind of fish did you put in your pond.?? i have a pond too, but its gonna be full of goldfishes.. i like to try other fishes and did yours survived thru the winter.?
This video is almost a year old and the aro is about 15"+ right now with no issues. I specifically chose small stock to raise them up together and the experiment worked and there has only been a couple of issue but to be expected with the variety. The aro swims down to the bottom and plays with the other fish. The turtles were fun but they got the taste of fish and they were moved out side quickly. Dont be too quick to throw stones until you have asked some questions.
you said they are in ponds outside now? Do you live in a pretty warm area all the time? I would keep the Parrots on the inside though. Their bright orange colors may attracts birds or cats to the pond. That is a pretty rough crowd there in that tank when you first did the video. I have a parrot cichlid myself.
That tank isn't big enough for all of those fish. I hope he plans on weaning out some fish or getting a huge tank. Most of those fish will get too big for that tank. Once mature some will get quite violent.
I would also get that arrowana out of there...the cichlids will kill him eventually too.
Turtles are dirty things which carry diseases which can passed onto the fish thru the water. It shouldn't be in there either.
Someone didn't research his stock before buying. Sad.
