  • Nick, you're sooo good at this. I can only do it sometimes... I never know when it'll actually happen... it just does. Its very mysterious... a mystery I hope to solve soon... where do the superdupperuberloops come from... & where do they go? I can do it to the right behind my head, but only from floor plane to catch them. But left is a stinker...

  • Using you normal chains or special chains? I can do it with sockpoi but not with fire chain Poi.

  • So, i am using flowlights with crystal cases (handles attached) but i am using shoestrings... do these things make this trick harder?

  • once i get this move down im going to do a video response with me doing a flip in it lol

  • Dude your awesome, i wish i could be taught by you. :)

  • hey! please nick, make a video about how to make those pois, because i have sock pois, what does swivel means?, in spanish, please!!. another thing . NICK, COME PERU,PLEASE!!. i'm learning english, sorry if i make some mistakes

  • I really prefer the term Orbitals or Extended Hyperloop over Superduperuberloops lolz

  • How did you install swivels on your sock poi without them slipping loose? That's pretty rad.

  • I can do it better backwards too, i cant really do it forwards, the vertical orbital is coo

    too

  • I'm not going to learn this, but I certainly enjoyed watching. Thanks for all tutorials. :)

  • Please, what's the music?

  • Hey Nick, I can do this every time with my practice cone poi but I can't do it at all with my fire poi, it just dies. The fire poi I have is the cathedral heads and normal oval link chains from HOP, is the head shape no good for this move or should I get the pro series chain??? I went into a shop yesterday and tried it with monkey fists on a ball chain and I did it 1st go...please help as I practiced this heaps and now can't use it :(

  • @JohnnyGolds Well, I certainly don't recommend doing orbitals with ball chain. They tend to go splodey sometimes.

As for not getting it with the fire, it's really tricky to begin with. I can hit orbitals every time with my socks, but add fire and chain to the mix and I can only get them about half the time. I highly recommend practicing with your chains, they tend to snag differently than fabric does. Try them unlit a few times until you're comfortable. You'll get them, just give it time

  • this guys got me crackin the fuck up lol...your hella good tho man, i just made the transition from freehand glowsticking to poi, now im lookin torwards firedancing and this helps alot

  • Putz Hyperloop eh dificil ¬¬

  • were do you make those poi make a tutoria

  • lol this rlz looks like i will start spining poi lol like this move a lot.the name is a little bit long but i love it if i learn it i will try a side flip while doing it looks like fun wish me luck :D:D:D

  • hey how do you keep them so long

  • Yo! I find it easier from the backwords weave too! lol I just learned it and it's one of my favorite moves.

  • *.* OMG

  • can you do this with chain poi, becasue thats what i use ?

  • Yes you can, i´ve seen it before, but i thinks it's a little bit more difficult :-) I trying to learn it too

  • cheers, my chain is to bulky, i need a finer chain and i need to instal swivals, i use fire lol i dont know if that makes it easier or harder or what lol

  • Yessssss!, I did it! :-D

  • yes, you can do them with chain poi, but it is a million times better if you have swivels on the handles.

i use oval link chain and can make fast orbitals for a good 10 seconds ^^

  • i LOVE air raps ^_^

  • wraps**

  • lol i got my fluffy poi a few daysago and changed the way they placed the string and swivels the knot at the end really help to let you no where to catch the center =)

  • Hrmmmmmm..... I think I need to move my swivels from the heads to the handles...

  • Yup, moving the swivels made a huge difference not only in this move but the hyperloops as well! It did take a day or two to get used to the new setup, but it was worth it :)

  • helped a lot, lol i can't do hyperloops or airwraps to be honest but i can superduperuberloop until the cows come home :D

  • OMG!! i think ive broke my nose... :( hahaha.. still fun,,,

  • haha cops came

  • Thanks ! It helps me a lot !

  • If you don't have swivels on your poi you can turn and have it unwind on the other side to extend the time it spins

  • Your tip at 1:40 was super helpful.

    Great video and thanks.

  • yet another great video!! thanks nick :)

i seem to only be able to do the superduperuberloop but not the hyperloop! i guess the hyperloop requires more control. oh and i only get out of the orbital half the time successfully :P

  • nice shorts!!!

  • what'd yew make those out of?! they're amazinggggggggg!!! =]

  • I make my own poi what are the swivels made out of ?

  • Superduperuber loops with the accents makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. something I found that helps for very small strings was tie a small knot on each leash to act as a catch. Its kind of cheating though.

  • i love your vid poi is the nest art form out there i think

  • I just learnt this. Thanks a load Nick.

  • honestly don't know what i'm doing wrong.. but it doesn't stay spinning.. usually just stops and gets tangled.. I have swivels too.

  • Nick, thanks again so much. quick question though..

I have the poi from home of poi the LED b alls and I have them tied to shoe laces can i still do orbitals? I mean i try and it gets tangled almost every time i'm wondering if i need the swivels or if i need a different string..

  • You should be able to do it with anything, but not having swivels may mean it dies out quickly... in which case you may be able to get INTO one but not out again.

Shoelaces should be alright, though... I have colecord without swivels and they work great! Better than my fire poi with swivels most of the time.

  • its difficult 2 learn...gRrrrr I neEd more practis.

  • Meenik is the nicest guy on utube, i bet he wouldnt call you a douche for trying to teach him something.

    Show some respect!

  • The Superduperuberloops are actualy called orbitals if you were spinning glowsticks.

  • i realy really really want those practice poi! i love how thin the material is and that you can put your own weight in the end of the poi. I LIVE IN AMERICA, though! how do i order these poi? how much are they and how long would it take to be delivered?

  • I used to be able to hyperloop behind my back... I think i'm gonna start learning how to abuse Orbtials now =D

  • I've finally learned how to do orbitals, and I couldn't be happier. They're so much fun and a great move to master after several months of stagnant trick activity. Now that the Nova Scotian winter has come into play, I'm focusing on learning a lot of wraps, spirals, and just inward tricks as it's tough doing six petal antispins with a ceiling above your head.

  • tell me about it, i guess there was no worse time to discover the world of poi then now, i already fabricated a short-circuit (if thats the right word for it) in the whole house. xD but with 3 beat weaves, im far away from making orbitals.

  • Haha I have the same problem. It snowed a few feet here and I am stuck inside so I have been needing to learn the longarm moves if that is what they are called and also anything over the head I hit everything. Can't wait for summer.

  • so

you just have to pull strong once to make the superblablaloops???

  • SOOPER DOOPER OOPER LOOP!

    LOL

  • great word.

  • mine often come out like kinda crooked and they end up getting kinda knoted together in a way.. help anybody?

  • one tip is notice the way he uses kind of a lop sided jerking motion to get one poi ahead of another, i find it helps to do so to figure out which poi is which; or using different colored poi to figure out which poi is at the top of the rotation and depending on which direction you entered and which way you plan to exit you can learn which needs to be on top at the start of that jerking motion

  • sweet, thanks a bunch! :D

  • can i do that with poi that have chains? i rly need to know

  • why dont you try it? ;)should be possible

  • I do belive it to be possable but its much hard to catch and keep going i've tryed my self with my fire poi unlight and was just able to get a few seconds worth out of it so yh it can be done just not by me lol

  • you can do it, but you need to attach swivel´s at the handels

  • exactly! and once you do, it makes for an amazing looking move which never disapoints a crowd

  • Genialny kolo :)

    nice :]

  • whats the best kinda poi to use for the loops cause all the ones ive tried have got way too twisted and yours look really stretchy lol

  • hey thanks dude i found that to be superduperuber helpfull :D

  • hmm, i string. are there any good tuts for airwraps >.>

  • i love this move. have just started to get the hang of it. thanks again for att great tutorial

  • i have been trying to figure out, is it possible to do a fountain variation orbital cuz i cant seem to get it to stay tangled correctly when it goes over my head. it either un tangles, or gets an additional tangle which i dont know how to take out without stopping or going back to the other side

  • I am never great your fan not venis for españa it he is that I want that you teach me some kind of beno to me I am Spanish and do not speak very much the Englishman but thanks to the youtube and to I you have learned some things as the loops or the good hybrid thank you for raising these videoes to the youtube. I wait for your response

  • Thanks alot for the tutorial! Just beginning my playpoi action (;D) and people like you are getting me started :) And no, I'm not starting with that particular trick, but nice to know the variety of tricks out there ;O

  • hi nick,

thank you very much for putting all the effort into making poi lesson vidyos like this one. really helps me understand those moves and makes me wanna see more ;)

so pls keep posting those lessons

  • hey nick im a glowstringer and if u dont have swivels u can learn how to do an orbital continuation (in not so good at them but there are a few tutorials online) and that would keep those of us without swivels from having problems with our poi twisting up .......it helps sometimes neway....

    Love ur videos!!!

  • I don`t know how it works with video responses but i did one. Uploaded a video recently with the superduperuberloop with a cartwheel alà Nick W style as I say in the video :D

    See you!

    //Thomas

  • I'm working with sock poi and I can get it going but I can't get out of it. Hahah and I still can't do hyperloops.

  • What is the song called? I NEED THE SONG!

  • plz send me a msg does it matter what kinda of string or pi ur using i use a wider Material and doesnt seem to work very well.

  • damn ur good.

  • Ive been trying to figure out the "orbital for months! Thanks to you I finally got it!

    great teaching!!!

  • What kind of poi are being used in the video? Thanks in advance! Great video!

  • thanks for giving some respects to the glowstringing community!

it's actually a pretty simple move once you get the concept of it...

  • how I define doing an orbital is simply doing an airwrap where the strings intercept in the middle, while that is occurring, turn your body 90 degrees, then pull the strings to wind up... **additional: for an orbital continuance, turn your body 180 degrees to have the orbital overlay itself... also, feel free to check out glowsticking(dot)com for more helpful tips =)

  • the orbital is still commonly used among glowstringers on the glowsticking community and many glowstringers out there are still expanding this move such as doing orbitals under the legs, behind the back, over the head, etc... there is still a huge area that this move has not covered or been discovered yet and for us all to figure out! =)

  • Wow, this is reeeaaalllly exciting

  • Where can i get swivels like that at?

  • We miss you on the Left Coast Nick! Are you coming home any time?

  • Wuau¡¡¡¡¡

Can I do the same but using metal chains?? please answer me...tanks..:)

  • Yes.

  • yes because metal chains are able to twist really fast -_-

    no

  • I've seen nick do it with chains, I have managed to do it but it's really hard to untwist them..

  • Nick you are a poi god!!!

    Thanks for sharing. Great vid.

Now, I just have to go find some swivels...

    :)

  • What are your poi made of?....im interested in starting

  • I know i can do hyperloops with chains, but can u do this super loop with fire chains or is it the nylon stretchy material that makes this move possible?....

  • Yes, you can do them with chains but only if you have swivels near the handles, then it works fine.

  • awesome thanks

  • Nice video, thanks!

Is it possible to do a superduperuberloop with chains? or is it only socks?

  • Nick, your videos are always great and I not only enjoy watching them, but I did already learn so much from them!!!! Thanks for uploading all that stuff!

  • cool video nick, cheers

  • Coolness!!!!!!!!! I'll still call them orbitals, but superduperuberloops might slip out a few times just because it's a fun term!!!!!!

  • Very cool! I learned hyperloops before learning what they were called. :P But I think I like superduperuberloops better.

  • You can also go into it from a weave or from a windmill. ANd yeah, its called orbitals. Also if you didnt have those metal pieces on it you could do 180 turns in opposite direction of entrance and extend it and then switch back 180 for additionals turns.

  • Very nice tut on orbitals! It's interesting to see the swivels on "sock" poi, I'd never even considered that. Needless to say this type of move is a bane with normal socks (due to the twist and lock problems).

    Peace and thanks!

    - Sui

  • woot woot 1st to comments! Thanks for the video mini lessons Nick!
