  • I swear I could have made this video. I know exactly how you feel. It's horrible. I have the same fear of passing out and it stemmed from blood being drawn and me reacting exactly like you described. I'm so happy to find out I'm not alone with this.

  • I have this fear of fainting as well!!!!!! And it happened to me 4 times. Followed by panic attacks, Now Agoraphobia.

  • Another thing is that my "tolerance" to fainting can interfere with anesthetics. I've only been under laughing gas once but it was drawn out like yours, basically "resisting" going under. But I'll take the gas any day over a needle stuck in me. Weirdly though, I can tolerate blood somewhat fine. That part reversed itself. Not like I like seeing it, but it's become "unreal" to me, like ridiculous exaggerated horror story/crime show corpses all mutilated and blood everywhere.

  • I have something similar to this. Health class was a nightmare but over time, the more you experience near fainting, the "easier" it gets. You can actually feel the symptoms hit a wall (completely stop progressing). I can't vomit though... last time I did, had to do with a needle thing and now I haven't puked or anything remotely puking in 10 years. Not scared of it but think it has to do with part of it.

  • I swear i just had the same thing hapening to me yesterday only , when i wanted to document this on internet i found your video :))

  • just hearing you talking about that made me looke pale face , i also have a big problem of bloodophobia :(

  • Funny thing is, I have the exact same problem, my fear is fainting IN FRONT of other people and embarrassing myself, its happened before in health class. Now I am scared of doctors and dentists.

  • Wow...I really know what you're talking about. For me, it's the extreme fear itself along with the racing thoughts that freaks me out. The idea of passing out outside of my house worries me to the point that I would almost rather faint than have all of the worrying that goes into the time before. I've really only passed out once, but anxiety and panic is starting to take control of my life at the moment.

  • Thanks for the vid because honestly I'm scared of passing out to. I've passed out 3 times, 2 from needles and 1 I was in front of my gym class and I fainted. I really didn't know why I fainted and I get little panic attacks in public. At home i'm fine. I'm getting better now. And I agree with mostly everything u said in that vid.

  • Looks like your front, not back!:)

  • I too have fainted from have a needle and now I can't stand blood or needles. If anyone talks about it I have to lie down cause I almost pass out. If I have to have a blood test I cry before it and it takes the nurse a good 45 mins to be able to get the needle in. I feel a bit sick now talking about it.

  • I've never actually passed out, so I don't really have a big fear of that, but the sight of blood can make me very lightheaded and nauseous. I hate it and avoid it if I can. But you're right, the fear isn't really of blood, but the feelings that can come up at the sight or thought of it.

Even though I haven't passed out, it's a bad feeling.

  • @jas111000 I accidentally broke a drinking glass and a shard got jutted into the flesh of my left middle finger. Even though it was just a flesh wound, some blood flowed out. I was simply annoyed that something like that happened in the first place. I was alone when this incident happened so I just applied pressure and then closed up the cut.

  • I have the same problem and it does tie in with my panic disorder and agoraphobia. I know just what you mean by being in that half state of consciousness and unconsciousness and it is terrifying. I get so disoriented sometimes I can't remember my name. Just about everytime I get a panic attack I pass out. It's kept me housebound for over 20 years. I can relate with pretty much everything in this vid. Thank you for sharing it. It does help to know I'm not unique in this.

  • I use to play baseball and football in high school and college. I fainted a few times, and I will never forget it. I am 26 now, and when I do cardio in the summer I can easily faint. Last summer it got to the point when I don't do hard core cardio. It's scary man.

  • I have a fear of fainting as well. I've NEVER found someone else that has it. For me it's more of a fear of being out of control and being in a vulnerable state in front of many people.
