Phalanx!!! i love this colossi. the most peaceful one and i think the longest colossi in the game. just look at him, he never attacks you.... -sighs- why do you have to beat him....
@dxmkrew It's implied the Colossi were weapons of war so it'd be cool for the small ones if the place you find them has piles of dead and broken down mass produced versions of those collosi and the one you fight is the last of its kind.
i like the way you play.. its kind of like..half reckless half professional.. it kind of reminds me of the way i play crash bandicoot3 at my friends house.. xD
Really Dirge and the two Lion Collosi are the only ones that needed to die.. They were VERY Hostile to you, but Phalanx? I really felt bad after killing him. Same goes to Avion.
Its sad...out of all of the colossi Phalanx just flew around all peaceful. You could shoot him all you wanted and he would never attack you. I don't think he even wanted to attack you, i think he just wanted to fly.

@AzureRoxe I definitely agree with that. The hardest ones for me to kill, not because of difficulty but just because I felt bad were, Phalanx, Hydrus, and Avion. Surprisingly enough, I didn't feel any remorse on my ascent to Malus, because I thought he was the one who killed my horse...but as soon as I struck the killing blow I was like OH MY GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE?! @Siiseli2 I'd say Lost Planet monsters, they are pure badass, and fucking dangerous if you come too close, these ones are huge, but can't fight for shit. You can actually climb them without being knocked out :3
dude i got this game like 5 days ago and i got past the 8th and the 9th sucks, i cant get him to come toward me he keeps turning away, i keep whistling and shooting arrows at it, but i found a way to cheat onto him without doing that, once he fires hiz lazor ( IM FIREN MAH LAZOR BLAAAARGH!) he sorta bends down and i jumped onto his freakishly massive jaw and stabbed him like a madman =^_^=

@AJChisolm exactly, it isn't easy within the first few tries. even throughout my practice of trying to hit those 3 sacs in one go was pretty hard. and i had to keep up with doing it over and over until i got it perfectly. and whats funny is, people thought i had this game on "easy mode" when really there is no easy mode in this game to begin with lol but yeah it does take alot of pratice once you keep up with it ^^
@ButterflyxAngel Question on hard mode, how do I kill the bearded colossus? It only has two vital spots. and I stabbed it to within an inch of it's life but that inch won't die. Does hard mode actually require you to trek across the land killing defenseless lizards and climbing trees? Becuase I ignored that part of the game.
@AJChisolm do you mean the first colossus? if so, yes he has two vital spots. and well because you deal ALOT more damage when a colossus hurts you, your life meter can deplete within seconds, especially your stamia meter. so yah, i recommend eating fruit and finding those lizards if you want to be stronger to kill each colossus as you move up toward killing the last one.
@ButterflyxAngel Nah not the first one. The one with the beard in this big temple underground. He is pretty agressive and likes to stomp on people. You literally have to climb his beard to get on his back.
@Bluechainlightning you have to look around for trees around the land and shoot down the fruits. you have to look uptop for them or climb the trees to get a better view of where the fruits are on the branches
When i first saw this guy on the box of the game i was looking so forward to it, even seeing what it would be like doesn't prepare you for when you actually fight him, such an amazing game, Im very tempted to get a ps3 just to play the updated and upscaled versions of Ico and SotC

No way is this the easiest boss. The person playing the game is incredibly skilled; if you're just starting then you're going to have a very hard time on many of the bosses.
that would be the life force of the collossi. i'm not really clear on why ppl run away from it. guess for fun? :D see how far you get. i was able to jump from the cliff on the first collosus X3 and the tendrils got me in mid air. it was epic.
I love Phalanx! I like calling it "The sky sailor" I think this is one of the best designs of the colossus. I heard that they almost took it off the game O_o
they shoul make something after the last gardion called return of the colossi where a modern decendent of wander tries 2 have vengence on dormin, but accidently releesed more collossi on the world. this would happen in modern times, say 2000.
This colossus is by far my most favorite to battle. It's so EPIC!!

It's kind of comforting to know, that no matter what you could possibly do in your lifetime, it will never be as awesome as this battle.
I love the music just after Phalanx lifts off with you on it. It is simply PERFECT.

I always felt bad about killing this one, it always seemed like it was just minding its own business and it never attacks you even after you provoke it. That being said you killed it really quickly! Great job!

No way is this the easiest boss. The person playing the game is incredibly skilled; if you're just starting then you're going to have a very hard time on many of the bosses.
That being said, it is a very fun game.

that would be the life force of the collossi. i'm not really clear on why ppl run away from it. guess for fun? :D see how far you get. i was able to jump from the cliff on the first collosus X3 and the tendrils got me in mid air. it was epic.

I love Phalanx! I like calling it "The sky sailor" I think this is one of the best designs of the colossus. I heard that they almost took it off the game O_o

they shoul make something after the last gardion called return of the colossi where a modern decendent of wander tries 2 have vengence on dormin, but accidently releesed more collossi on the world. this would happen in modern times, say 2000.
