I started playing guitar because of them. Recently I wrote and recorded an original song. If you want to hear how Led Zeppelin-inspired music sounds 2012 style click on wisztrock. I think you'll like it.
@SaraaRocks It's sad that this generation is WORTHLESS and will NEVER produce a Led Zep, an Aretha Franklin nor another Beatles...just garbage and a sea of worthless karaoke singers like American Idol crap!
@mrfrogbutt1 Fuck off. There's still plenty of great talent around these days, you just have to look. Gone are the days when mainstream radio songs were actually good. Look for indie bands (note; indie, not pretentious hipster pricks) and you'll find surprisingly good music.
I heard he made this song as a tribute after his son died. Every time you hear him say "All of my love to you," you can feel his sense of pain and anguish.
no your not alone, Led Zep still continue to be the forerunners of this amazing rock music, and yes this song is a masterpiece. The combination of jones, bonham, page and plant is Led Zep their originality cannot be compared
So, In about 3 weeks I will become an aunt to a beautiful baby girl! <3 I will make sure she grows up listening to good music such as Led Zeppelin. Lil Lady your going to be a rocker baby whenever you come visit me :D
I can't help but feel sad when I hear this song :( John Paul Jones did such a wonderful job with this album. I play bass myself & I love his work. In a song like this you can hear the anguish in Robert's voice after losing his son, & the drums & guitar are a bit subdued possibly because Jimmy & John's battle with alcohol & drugs. It's such a sad end to a wonderful group, I really think they could've done whatever they wanted after this. TCV made me so happy, to see JPJ still going strong.
